The Handsome Man in the Cake Shop

[Mature man x mature man] [A 100,000-character novella] [Blurb to be polished]

The first time Yan Lin saw Liang Yichuan was at his father's birthday banquet. Watching everyone, including his father, fawn over that man, Yan Lin found it rather amusing.

He smiled, and his eyes met the man's across the crowd.

At that moment, Yan Lin suddenly had the feeling that the man was about to cross the room and come straight over to him.

But before the man could approach, Yan Lin was called away by the cake shop.

After he returned, he kept dreaming about the man's face.

Then, on a snowy day, the glass door of the cake shop swung open, and the man stepped inside, braving the bitter cold and driving snow...

That was the first time Liang Yichuan saw Yan Lin. The long-haired man sat quietly in a corner, so beautiful that even the light falling on him seemed gentle.

As Liang Yichuan was hemmed in by people showering him with flattery, Yan Lin's soft laugh slipped into his ears.

Their eyes met. Liang Yichuan almost pushed past the people around him to approach, but in the end, the man simply glanced back and smiled at him before leaving.

Later, he looked Yan Lin up on his own, but lacked the courage to get close, because Liang Yichuan had an illness he could not bring himself to talk about.

Until that snowy day, with snow swirling in the air, when he could no longer resist pushing open the cake shop's door.

Inside, the beautiful long-haired man leaned against the counter, smiling at him. "Sir, did you come in to get out of the snow?"

Mini-scene:

When Yan Lin received the red-soled high heels Liang Yichuan had sent him, he chuckled.

He bent down, stroked Liang Yichuan's head, and asked, "Do you want me to put these on and step on you?"

P.S. The cover lettering was handwritten by my bestie @Nanchuan Liaoliao. It's ridiculously gorgeous!!!

A few notes [content warnings]:

1. There's no huge age gap. They're 30 and 31, two mature men falling in love.

2. The love interest isn't very capable at first, so there'll be some playful stuff early on ( ), mainly teasing and flirting. He'll get better later.

3. This story is purely, purely, purely my personal kink. If that's not for you, please stop reading!

4. I'll say more if I think of anything.

Theme: Love can overcome every hardship
