The Bookworm's Rules for Studying

Blurb:

As the teacher hesitates over who should sit with the new student, the bookworm in the corner, who usually minds his own business, pushes up his glasses and raises his hand.

Then, two months later, Shen Tingchen suddenly draws up a "marriage application" for his transfer-student deskmate.

After his family falls on hard times, Jiang Jing transfers schools. He is terribly worried that the people in his new class will look down on him.

To his surprise, on his very first day, someone volunteers to sit beside him.

His grades are poor, and he cannot keep up with the class, so his deskmate tutors him.

He needs to work part-time to pay his tuition, so his deskmate finds him a well-paid, easy job.

When his father's debts lead debt collectors to corner him, his deskmate shows up and sorts it out for him.

Though he cannot understand how his deskmate always manages to show up at just the right time, Jiang Jing knows he really likes him.

Until, two months later, Shen Tingchen hands him a "marriage application."

Shen Tingchen pushes up his glasses. "Based on my observations and calculations, there is a 90% chance that combining your genes with mine would produce a child with high intelligence, a cheerful personality, and excellent features."

Jiang Jing looks utterly shocked. "??? But you're a beta!"

Shen Tingchen says expressionlessly, "I checked. You're a high-quality Alpha, so as long as you're deep enough to reach my reproductive cavity, the odds of me getting pregnant are 76.45%."

Jiang Jing covers his unbearably red face. "Ah!! Don't say things like that with a straight face!"

Bonus scene:

I want to write a story where, after they get married, the gong keeps thinking the shou married him for the sake of having a child.

So every night he works himself to the bone, kuku, but his lover is a beta and really has a hard time getting pregnant. He starts doubting himself every day, and when he sees his lover getting close to another Alpha, he assumes his lover is planning to trade him in.

So at night, he works himself to the bone, kuku, while crying. "I'll really do my best! Please don't replace me."

The shou is nearly out of breath, and still can't figure out why the gong would think that.

A few thoughts:

1. One-on-one, happy ending, both are each other's first and only, and they dote on each other!!

2. The ABO setting is here to make it more plausible for the shou to seek out the gong to have a child, but I don't plan to write a pregnancy in the main story. As for the extras... I'm not sure. If I do, I'll let everyone know and mark them clearly.

3. The gong is a sunny, happy little puppy who spreads warmth everywhere. The shou is a genius who can't understand how his peers think, and genuinely believes everyone around him is childish and stupid. (P.S. I think this gloomy, aloof genius x simple-minded, strong-limbed happy puppy pairing is really delicious to ship (bites handkerchief))
