Matsuda's Second-Playthrough Plan to Save the World

[Updated whenever inspiration strikes]

Matsuda Jinpei died at the age of twenty-six amid the thunderous roar of an explosion, ending his short life. Then, in the summer when he was twenty-two, he was given a new life and reunited with those few closest friends once more.

He should have met his end calmly beneath the immense force and searing heat of the explosion. That was supposed to be how his story ended, not like this, having his entire worldview shattered by some thing calling itself a Supervisor and the information it brought. Matsuda Jinpei thought, nearly numb.

It said the reborn world was unstable and needed someone to reinforce its anchor points and ensure the important characters stayed alive. Otherwise, the whole world would be done for.

It said that over the next six years, he and several of his classmates would die one after another, until only Furuya Rei remained.

So, without question, Matsuda Jinpei became the one who would reinforce the world's anchor points.

If nothing went wrong, Matsuda Jinpei would have said goodbye to his police career on an ordinary day after graduation, not suddenly disappeared before graduation without a word, only to meet them again as an adversary.

Bourbon never expected to run into Brandy during his very first assignment after earning his codename.

The man who looked just like Matsuda pointed a gun at him.

"Bourbon, don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong."

His expression was indifferent and weary, as if they'd never known each other.

In the sunlight, a police officer who called himself Hagiwara Kenji naturally let go of the other's clothes and smiled innocently.

"Sorry. I was just a little curious."

Akai Shuichi accidentally caught Brandy meeting someone.

After a moment's silence, Akai Shuichi calmly asked, "Brandy, are you FBI?"

Matsuda Jinpei: "Huh?"

If he was FBI, then what was Akai Shuichi, a Japanese Public Security agent?

After finally waiting for the System to reboot and recovering his memories, Matsuda Jinpei numbly recalled what Brandy had done while suffering from amnesia. He honestly kind of wanted to die.

There are lots of personal headcanons. The timeline mostly follows the original, with some deviations, so please don't nitpick the details.

Everyone gets saved. The story includes both real and fake angst, misunderstandings, overactive imaginations, original characters, and a fake ship. No romance in this story. Matsuda is the central character, and it has a happy ending.

Matsuda is amnesiac in the first part and recovers his memories three years before the start of the Detective Conan story.

Finally, the author is a beginner and this is my first story, so please be kind if there are any shortcomings.
