Only after Matsuda died did he unexpectedly learn that he was merely a manga character whose ending had been decided long ago.

Not just him, but also his childhood friend and several of their classmates were characters in the same story.

To change this awful fate, and for the sake of his childhood friend and classmates, Matsuda thought it over again and again before agreeing to bind himself to a certain forum System.

Though his identity had changed when he got a second chance at life, for the sake of his childhood friend and several close friends, Matsuda still resolutely chose to join the Organization and build his career there. He planned to replace Rum as the Organization's second-in-command before his two friends joined, then work his way toward the Boss's position.

Later, when Hiromitsu and Rei joined the Organization and received their codenames, they and a man named Moroboshi Dai were assigned under Ben Norman.

Hiromitsu and Rei had already read Ben Norman's file in the information obtained by the Public Security Bureau. They were confident, but not that confident.

After all, according to rumors, Ben Norman was ill-tempered. He held a high position in the Organization and was greatly trusted by the Boss.

But who could have guessed that Ben Norman was their friend Hagiwara's neighbor...

Hiromitsu: Kenji, run!

Rei: Kenji, run!

Bonus Scene:

One time, Hiromitsu accidentally opened a secret room while entering Ben Norman's study. When he saw the walls covered with photos of his classmate Hagiwara, his heart sank.

Seeing this, Rei, who had no idea what was going on, asked, "What's wrong?"

Hiromitsu pulled himself together, but looking at Rei, he didn't know how to tell him that he'd seen an entire wall covered with photos of Hagiwara Kenji in Ben Norman's secret room.

Matsuda had a dream. In it, he had a childhood friend who'd grown up with him. They grew up together, got into the police academy together, and joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department together. Then his childhood friend was killed by a bomb planted by a bomber, and Matsuda began seeking revenge for him. The dream ended with Matsuda being killed by a bomb as well.

Matsuda suddenly woke from the dream. In reality, he had no childhood friend who'd grown up with him. He searched for a family named Hagiwara, but there was no Hagiwara Kenji.

Then reality and the dream began to overlap. Beneath the familiar Ferris wheel, Matsuda encountered someone he hadn't expected.
