Shisho Mitsumitsu Is Writing a Novel Today, Too

Jingguang's undercover mission failed, and he died. He closed his eyes, opened them again, and found a cat standing before him.

As he wondered whether there were cats in heaven, the cat spoke:

"Would you like to become a special librarian and save the world?"

Jingguang: ?

What's a special librarian? Some kind of magical girl variant?

Whether it was or not, if the job involved saving the world, Jingguang was willing to take it on.

After they saved the world, the director told him: "As a reward, you can come back to life and return to your world. But there are conditions. By our rules, you have to write a novel and become famous."

So Jingguang picked up his pen.

But can writing a novel really bring me back to life? he wondered.

*

Three years after his childhood friend died, Toru, who was working at Poirot, received a gift from an elementary school student.

It was a novel titled My Days at the Police Academy, written under the pen name "zero." That wasn't what mattered, though. The more he read, the more familiar it all seemed.

His eyes widened in shock. Who on earth was this author?!

*

"I picked up my pen and wrote down our story on the page."

"It was a friendship and love that belonged only to us, spanning twenty years."

* A sweet romance that shouldn't be too long. Zero x Jing, no reversals, please.

* There'll be a little of the main plot and the library, but not much of either (probably).

* More to come...
