[Journey to the West] Everyone on the Pilgrimage Is a Hopeless Romantic

Sun Wukong had thought that the pilgrimage would amount to accompanying a mortal monk on a trek through the wilderness, with the occasional demon-cleaning thrown in.

It turned out he'd made it sound much simpler than it was.

Who could have imagined that, at such a critical point in the pilgrimage, the celestial laws would be changed, the Queen Mother would be so enraged that she descended to the mortal realm, and the Three Realms would turn into a complete mess?

"The Love and Hate of Gao Village": Can I refuse to accept Junior Brother Sha?

"Junior Brother Sha's Obsession with the Pilgrim": Wait, the ninth Pilgrim's head is still hanging from your neck!

"Was There a Twist in Princess Baihuaxiu's Story?": What twist? Get back to Heaven and take your punishment!

"The Bull Demon King's Family Has a 'Winter' of Their Own": Big Brother, I was just passing by. I didn't see a thing. I'm out of here!

"The Tongtian River...": Wait, where's the Bodhisattva? Is he going through a tribulation of love too?

Sun Wukong looked at Chen Xuanzang with lingering dread. Thank goodness Master, at least you're normal. Hold on! Isn't that the Kingdom of Women up ahead...

Tongtian, who had secretly followed them by changing his appearance along the way, quietly emerged and grabbed Sun Wukong, who was frantically searching for the Queen Mother. "The two of us..."

Sun Wukong pushed Tongtian away with a blank face. What was the point of making this pilgrimage? He might as well go catch chickens and chase dogs around Chang'an with Jiang Liuer!

Reader's Guide:

1. This won't follow the original story. After all, this story is mainly about people who are hopelessly in love, and I can't write every story.

2. Sun Wukong's past will be substantially reimagined.

3. Please ignore the timelines in other deities' backstories. Myths from other dynasties will also appear.

4. There will be lots of completely original short stories about people who are hopelessly in love.

Theme: Growing through hardship.
