Synopsis

Shan Heyu had spent hundreds of years in this world. At long last, his good deeds had earned him a reputation as a mountain god, drawn farmers to settle there, and won him recognition from Heaven and Earth.

His first step toward gaining a physical form was to plant a few peach trees for the Great Sage, whom he had been keeping beneath him.

But just as Mount Five Fingers was taking its first step toward development, before the peach trees had even borne fruit, someone took the little monkey away.

The man looked dignified and imposing. His eyes gleamed like cold stars, and his dark brows were as sharply defined as if painted on. Broad-chested, strong-boned, and powerfully built, he easily pulled the little monkey out of the cave with his large hands, then shielded the little creature completely against his broad chest. Like a demon-slaying lord descended from the heavens, he was truly a god of war among men.

What a magnificent, enlightened monk, Tang Sanzang, come to vanquish demons!

Watching them leave without a backward glance, Shan Heyu couldn't help shouting, "That's the monkey I've raised for hundreds of years! That's my irreplaceable idol!!! Waaaah!"

The farmers behind him scrambled to hold Shan Heyu back and comfort him. "Mountain God, Master Sanzang will surely take good care of the Great Sage. The crabs and crucian carp are about to hit the market. Let's make money first, make money first. Didn't you say you wanted to develop Mount Five Fingers...?"

Dang Kang circled Shan Heyu, grunting and squeaking as it tried to make him forget the monkey and pay attention to the little piggy instead.

#Dang Kang: Monkey, go on your Journey to the West and fetch the scriptures with Master Sanzang in peace! Shan Heyu and I will build our hometown together!#

Note:

Many original additions to the setting, so please don't nitpick.

A Journey to the West spin-off, with Investiture of the Gods elements as well.

How can there be nothing interesting in the Classic of Mountains and Seas? It's obviously a recipe (although I don't even have the Classic of Mountains and Seas, I cried with laughter JPG)

The plot is good, but the emotional lines are always so nonsensical.
