Dear DIO, My Heart Is Full of Malice

London, 1878. The underground black market.

The blond boy looked at me from outside the cage as if I were something worthless, and said with contempt, "You're as worthless as a dog."

I stared back at him, my voice low. His reddish-brown eyes held endless malice.

My plan began.

On my first return to the past, I betrayed the boy just when he needed me most, after he had already earned the infamy of patricide.

I set him up to kill me, each word a dagger to his heart: "It's no use. Everything was a lie. You have no future, and God doesn't exist."

Not long after I left, he became an adopted son of the Joestar family and set off down a path of no return.

On my second return, I knelt in the middle of the great hall and watched the villainous savior, now revered by countless people, go from looking down on everyone to staring in astonishment. Ignoring the curious gazes around him, he left his throne and dragged me into his chambers.

"You dare come back?" His crimson eyes blazed with fury. "Three hundred years! I've waited three hundred years!"

But I smiled innocently. "What is Lord Dio talking about?"

The hand gripping my shoulder trembled slightly. I knew he cared about me, which meant I could use him as a pawn.

Everyone knew that the great lord had a woman by his side. He hated her with all his heart, humiliating her day after day and tormenting her night after night, yet no one in the palace was allowed to lay a finger on her.

Later, everyone saw the blond man go mad, setting the garden's hydrangeas ablaze and destroying every memory of her.

On my third return, I became Father Enrico Pucci, Dio's friend who helped him carry out his Heaven Plan. With every step carefully arranged, I drew closer to my ideal. In the end, the battle at Stone Ocean brought the Heaven Plan to fruition, creating the invincible time-controlling Stand, Made in Heaven.

On my fourth return, I did not arrive in the new world. Instead, I came back to the beginning as a spirit.

The young boy, still innocent and with no blood on his hands, kissed my tombstone.

With his hands clasped together, he prayed devoutly to a god he had never believed in, a god who had never shown him mercy.

May I, the one least deserving of forgiveness, be free from worry in all things and safe and well for all my days.

- Not a soulmate romance!! Please skip if that's not for you!

- The author's interpretation of Dio's early characterization: before joining the Joestar family, he still mourned his mother, endured being bullied, and retained a shred of morality. This portrayal of young Dio is based on the first episode of Part 1.

After the London arc, Dio will have no morals.

[I saw some readers in the comments wondering about his morality, so I decided to put this here for now.]

- The writing style leans toward light novels.

- There are many original interpretations. Those who care deeply about the original canon, please don't scrutinize it too closely. The story mainly draws on the settings of Parts 1-3 and 6.

- This is not a typical quick transmigration story. The protagonist's Stand ability is time regression, and she will keep returning to the past throughout the different volumes.

- Dio is the male lead in every worldline the heroine returns to. There is one Dio, and only one.
