The Apocalypse Arrives, and a Panda Carries Me to Victory

Lin Yuan's lover died in a car accident.

He spent every day in tears, consumed by grief.

One night, he dreamed that his lover told him, "I've been reincarnated as a panda. Remember to visit me at the zoo."

Lin Yuan went to the zoo, half-believing it, and saw a panda cub in an incubator with a small, round black mark on its bottom, one more than a normal panda had.

His lover had a round birthmark on his bottom too.

After that, Lin Yuan visited the panda every day, rain or shine.

He became more and more certain that the panda was his lover's reincarnation. Every time Lin Yuan called his name, the panda would squeak, wave at him, and do all sorts of ridiculous things.

He thought life would continue quietly like that, but then the apocalypse came.

City A fell completely. Lin Yuan hadn't developed any special abilities and was still an ordinary man in poor health. But he made a bold decision: he would sneak into the zoo, steal the panda, and leave City A with him.

But before he could do anything, the panda came to him on its own.

When Lin Yuan opened the door, he saw a panda standing upright and waving at him, even trying to manage a harmless smile.

After that...

The panda gathered supplies with him.

The panda fought zombies.

The panda drove.

The panda beat up bad guys.

The panda did the laundry, cooked, and cleaned.

Lin Yuan's only job was to peel apples into little bunny shapes and feed them to the panda.

Lin Yuan muttered in a daze, "I think I'm just holding you back."

"Not at all. You're the most important." The panda wrote the words on paper, then started comforting his lover.

Panda pats.

Panda hugs.

Panda kisses.

Panda lifts him high.

A man and a panda rely on each other to survive the apocalypse.
