Enrolled at Jujutsu High, but Turned into a Cat

Kurokawa Aya, male, twenty-two years old, transmigrated for reasons unknown. Now he’s a cat. A powerless little cat is badly out of place in a world where cursed spirits have combat strength like that. Luckily, he has the essential golden finger for transmigrators: a shoddy pirated minigame that switches at random and grants rewards when you clear a level. With a grave expression, he finished a level and slowly opened the treasure chest. Golden light burst from the chest, then a lollipop popped out. Description: Eat it to blow bubbles underwater. Seriously? This is supposed to be my golden finger? - Newly enrolled Itadori Yuji noticed that Gojo-sensei and Geto-sensei seemed especially indulgent toward the cat at school. They didn’t even get angry when it climbed on their heads. Curious, he asked Fushiguro Megumi, but even he, the two teachers’ adopted son, didn’t know why. “Maybe it’s just because they’ve had it for a long time...?” He thought for a moment. “As far back as I can remember, it’s been around. That must be about ten years now.” Just then, a white-haired teacher passing by overheard them. He blinked. “Want to know why?” When they nodded, he gave them a mysterious smile. Then his expression turned slightly stern and utterly convinced, as if what he was about to say were a truth proven by a thousand facts, something of the utmost importance. They rarely saw him like this, and immediately straightened up. “Because, ” “It’s a god.” He said it in a tone that made it sound perfectly believable. “It’s the guardian deity of Jujutsu High.” Having successfully left them utterly stunned, the unscrupulous teacher made his satisfied escape. The cat in question, perched in a nearby tree, watched him bluff in silence. Kurokawa Aya: Thanks. Keep talking and I might start believing it myself. - Reader’s guide: 1. Unlimited paragraph comments are enabled. 2. This is a no-logic writing exercise to get back into practice, written purely to mess with people. If you feel messed with, please stop reading! 3. I’ll rescue any characters I can. Whatever plot IIVV draws later has nothing to do with me. 4. The protagonist will always be a cat. No turning into a human. 5. I didn’t know what to put in the character profile, so I threw in a stick figure to make do. - A little plug for an original novel in my collection of upcoming works. Here’s the blurb: “I’m Actually the Purple Star [Figure Skating]” Wen Xing was a child who ran away from an orphanage. There was never enough food or warm clothing, and beatings came without warning. The director also often pointed at him and cursed him, calling him a jinx. He gritted his teeth and ran away, only to collapse on the road and be taken in by a coach from a figure skating club. The coach had no wife or children and had spent his life devoted to his career. He hadn’t planned on taking Wen Xing in, either. But by chance, he discovered the boy had extraordinary talent for figure skating, and his attitude changed at once. “Would you like to always have enough to eat and warm clothes to wear?” he coaxed. When Wen Xing instinctively nodded, the coach patted him on the shoulder. “Good! From now on, you’re going to train with me and learn to skate!” - Everyone knew that China was a wasteland for figure skating, and its singles skaters usually just went through the motions. Then a young skater appeared out of nowhere. In his first appearance at the World Junior Championships, he crushed competitors from every country with his unmatched technical skill. How long had it been since China’s men’s singles skaters last stood on that podium? Now, not only had he broken that awkward streak in his very first competition, he’d also delivered a result no one could have predicted, winning gold right out of the gate! Countless reporters surged forward, their questions blending into a clamor until it was nearly impossible to tell who was asking what. Facing a scene like this for the first time, the young skater seemed a little awkward, answering the questions he could hear as politely as he could. “How long have I been skating? Since I was six.” “The quadruple loop? I’ve been doing it for a little while.” “My relationship with Liu Yue? Brother Liu Yue takes good care of me.” Wen Xing paused when he heard the final question. “My name?” Unlike his slightly stiff responses before, his voice was clear and confident, his eyes glinting with light. His face was that of a handsome, clean-cut young man, but his words were bold and unrestrained. “My coach told me, ” “The ‘star’ in my name means the Purple Star.” - Wen Xing was still inexperienced when he won his first competition. But soon after moving up to the senior division, he won his first World Championships title and handled interviews with ease. At the same time, one issue began to stand out. Among figure skating fans, he earned the teasing nickname “the skater least likely to be called an artistic jellyfish.” That could be taken as praise for his technical prowess, or as saying that even a dog would shake its head at his performance skills. Of course, under the current scoring system, it didn’t really matter. Online fans only brought it up now and then as a joke. Reporters had casually mentioned the nickname in interviews, but Wen Xing had never responded, simply smiling it off. Was he content with that? No, he wasn’t. Just because performance wasn’t essential to winning didn’t mean he could abandon it. Although his performance skills still needed work, he had a flexibility unlike any other man’s. That alone was enough to turn things around. So when Wen Xing competed in his first Olympics, everyone was astonished to discover that the Purple Star they had so eagerly anticipated, and treated with such generous leniency, had another surprise in store for them. His blades swept across the ice. Dressed in an ice-blue costume, the young skater drew the audience into his story with a performance of extraordinary intensity. Perfect musical interpretation. Perfect choreography. Perfect technique. He gave the audience a spectacular visual feast, and with his skill, put an end to that faintly rueful nickname. He truly did it He danced on the ice. - He was the first flower to bloom on the wasteland in years, and the star suspended in the heavens, forever gazing down with pride. Theme: Every hardship will eventually find its solution.
