Crime Scene: No Falling in Love [Crime Investigation]

Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, rugged criminal-investigation captain gong x aloof, sickly beauty, criminal psychologist shou. Also known as White Night Rose [Criminal Investigation]

-

Fifteen years ago, the Ning family, a household of police officers in Jiangzhou, was massacred. A web of evil involving human trafficking, organ smuggling, drug dealing, and collusion between the police and the underworld shocked the world.

Fifteen years later, another major massacre struck Jiangzhou, and the threads behind it led right back to the vast network left behind fifteen years ago.

Ming Yi, captain of the criminal investigation team, took charge of the case. Every clue pointed to a single suspect, and that person was the team's new criminal psychology consultant, Ning Huaiyu, who had called in sick before even reporting for duty.

-

The new consultant was frail, delicate, and fussy. He was out of breath after walking a few steps and never went anywhere without his medicine. He got carsick and fainted before their ride-along even reached the scene. When they first met, he rejected Ming Yi's rare, friendly handshake on the grounds that he was a germaphobe.

Yet "germaphobe" Ning Huaiyu could stand at a crime scene without batting an eye and use his so-called "psychology" to challenge the evidence and facts the entire team had already accepted.

Ming Yi: This is a criminal investigation team, not a nursing home. We solve cases with evidence, not psychology. Please let me return him.

But this consultant could make a profile in three minutes and identify the real culprit in three sentences. He never once failed in the face of a tangled case, and proved himself right again and again. Soon, everyone on the team was looking out for him. They'd even fuss over his thermos to make sure it still had goji berries in it whenever he took a drink.

Even Ming Yi, who had liked Ning Huaiyu the least, learned to wash up and cook for him, and wanted to keep him tucked into his waistband so he could take care of him.

-

As they slowly unraveled the vast web buried underground, justice and evil became entangled. At the border between day and night, a rose bloomed, watered with blood.

The honored dead are eternal, and so is the light. Even if I stand on the other side of the night, I will still run to you without hesitation.

-

Ning Huaiyu (struggling to get out of bed): Ngh, Captain Ming, I said you could take care of me, but you never said it would be this kind of care!

Ming Yi (dead serious): I'm rubbing Ah Yu's back right now. How is that not taking care of you?

-

I know it's forbidden to fall in love at a crime scene, but the person I met was you.

Falling in love is nothing more than a devout believer meeting his god.
