[A beloved beauty who is ill but ranks first in both brains and brawn, the receiver vs. an obsessive Main God whose fragments are scattered everywhere, the attacker]
In the fourth year after infinite instances descended upon the world, every player's personal terminal received a message:
The game safe house is now online. Click the link to get access to the beta test.
In infinite instances, never click unfamiliar links. It was a consensus among players.
But there were always players with their lives on the line who couldn't afford to be so cautious.
Fortunately, the moment they clicked the link, they left the instance and entered another space.
Standing before them was a strange man with silver hair down to his waist, sickly-looking but pale and beautiful. Above his head was a strange lv. (unavailable), along with a profile card they could open.
Unfortunately, after opening the profile card:
HP (1/100)
MP (1/100)
Skills: None
The players who thought they were finally saved blacked out:
What kind of trash NPC is this?!
--
Only Yan Huaixue knew that he had once come closer than anyone else to clearing the infinite instances.
Almost all the players who had been around when the instances first descended were dead. His name had topped the rankings, but then disappeared overnight.
Everyone thought that even the strongest player had been killed by the instances.
They had no idea that, on that day, the Main God had cornered Yan Huaixue against a wall, dark ink swirling in his eyes:
"Huaixue, no one can escape my grasp."
Just before countless vines could kiss his lush lips,
Yan Huaixue vanished before Them in a flash of white light.

The Main God was enraged and descended into the instances in person. Their difficulty rose, and players found them harder and harder to handle. Only the safe house remained a temporary haven.
The seemingly sickly, beautiful trash NPC could provide a place to rest, heal players' injuries, and even teach them skills.
With their lives and everything they owned at stake, players sought his protection. Yan Huaixue soon earned the fervent devotion of every player.
Their awe, love, and even faith elevated him into a god more exalted than the Main God.
Yan Huaixue finally recovered to his pre-clearance state, with both HP and MP at full level, and the safe house's domain expanded to encompass the entire space.
All the players breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed humanity had finally found hope.
But someone accidentally wandered into a forbidden zone and discovered that it was nothing like the warm, bright safe house.
It was dark, damp, and pitch-black, like the breeding ground of some unspeakable creature.
Before he could react, he heard the Main God's cool voice:
"You shouldn't be here."
Daring to be bold, the player lit a candle, only to see a sea of vines slowly part. Yan Huaixue struggled to sit up among them, the corners of his eyes still damp.
The player suddenly felt a bloody gash appear on the back of his hand. A sharp pain drove him out, and he could even feel that it wanted to erase him from existence.
Yan Huaixue looked innocent:
I told you not to click unfamiliar links.
I'm just an utterly ordinary god who governs love. :)

Horror | Lovecraftian | Infinite instances | Fourth-Generation Disaster | Safe House
My take on infinite instances and the Fourth-Generation Disaster: the safe house is in a video-game plane where the Fourth-Generation Disaster takes place. The protagonist is the most beautiful and strongest, MVP in both brains and brawn. This isn't an infinite-instance story about a beloved beauty who's an idiot.
Mild horror, mild Lovecraftian elements, mild puzzle-solving. A truly beloved, breathtaking beauty. The protagonist also enters the instances himself; at heart, he's still a player.
Theme: Self-reliance and perseverance
