As demonic spirits ran rampant and faith collapsed, the Light Priestess became a wanted criminal across the continent overnight. With no choice, Iphrodite set out on the run. The only one left at her side was the Paladin Lancelot. Though he was so stone-faced he could barely manage a single word all day, at least he was a person (in the best sense of the word), and utterly loyal.
As they fled to the frozen Northern Frontier, several strange mechanical voices suddenly rang in Iphrodite's ears.
[Party member Lancelot has slain a low-level monster. Your EXP has increased by 100.]
[Party member Lancelot has used Sword Dance. Your MP has increased by 100.]
[Party member Lancelot has used Sacrifice. Lancelot's HP has decreased by 999, and your HP has increased by 999.]
Meanwhile, the devoted♂ and loyal Paladin Lancelot, party member, with a huge “HP -999” over his head, used his tall frame to shield her from the biting wind and silently pulled her cloak tighter around her. After his name came a string of words that left Iphrodite just as silent:
[The saint is so beautiful! I want to beep, (censored). No, wait, the saint is too frail. Better help him recover before we beep, ]
Iphrodite: ...

When the full-dive game Roland Continent first launched, it became famous for its exquisite and remarkably realistic Western fantasy setting. It was also famous for a player who suddenly shot to the top of the rankings overnight.
The strongest player was named “The Fairest Moonlight,” and was also a Priest, a class everyone agreed was weak as hell.
That day, all the players fell into deep thought:
How could the top-ranked big shot play such a trash class and use such a shameless ID?
-
It wasn't until the game grew more difficult and monsters began slaughtering people that humanity slowly realized this wasn't a game for relaxing and having fun. It was a real world, and dying in the game meant truly disappearing from the world of the living.
Only one person could make all of this an exception.
In the pitch-black woods, the hem of that person's white robe fluttered in the wind. Their staff lifted, their chant flowed melodiously, and even the dark mists seemed to disperse.
In an instant, the night grew as bright as day. The wind blew away the person's veil. The cold air made them cough, but it also revealed a face of breathtaking beauty, pale with illness yet still radiantly lovely.
This person's name was “Iphrodite,” which in the language of the Roland Continent meant “the fairest moonlight.”
This person's class was Priest. This person was a true god.
-
The continent returned to peace. Someone once asked this greatest Pope in history how he had become a true god.
Iphrodite sat gracefully on the throne, eyes lowered, and said nothing.
At his side, the usually taciturn Paladin spoke up for once: “His Majesty was a god from the beginning.”

[Attack's POV]
A Paladin was destined to devote his life to the person he followed, so Lancelot had always thought of himself as nothing more than a tool of the Church.
From the first moment he saw Iphrodite, Lancelot knew he would be the fervent faith of his life, someone worth giving everything up to follow.
Forever, until death.
The loyal Paladin had finally found his faith.
And his faith had been a god all along.
Devoted one-on-one romance, a true romantic, guaranteed sweetness!!!
A big, prominent warning: The receiver wears women's clothes for a while, and there is some focus on appearance. The author is simply fond of that sort of thing. This is a lighthearted story full of jokes and memes~
Not a traditional fourth calamity story. More about two worlds merging. Powerful leads, with my own take on Western fantasy.
P.S. To help everyone remember and understand the leads' names, here are some references (not really) ↓
Receiver Iphrodite: inspired by Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty in Greek mythology
Attacker Lancelot: inspired by Lancelot, the famous Knight of the Round Table
Theme: Face difficulties bravely
