Don't Underestimate a Kabukicho Widow!

[Completed Gintama fanfic] "The Teacher's Wife Has Become a High-Risk Occupation?!" / "Even Night Owls Can't Go After Our Teacher!" [Upcoming Gintama fanfics] "We're Just Joy Buddies" (next story) / "My Silverdew Valley Direct Route to the Private School and Dojo" Yukiko wakes up one morning to two pieces of news: First, she's transmigrated into a famous comedy anime. Second, she's been handed the role of a widow. To survive, she has to find and take revenge on the person who killed her husband years ago. Yukiko: Hold on, I'm just an unemployed madao right now! Kill me or do whatever you want, I'm fine with how things are... System: (Shows a beautiful photo of her late husband) (Shows the balance of her late husband's savings account) Yukiko: I have no time to feel lost about this weird transmigration. Making her entrance now is... Detective Yukiko! * Her late husband left Yukiko four clues. Each clue comes with a gift and a new memory, and she gradually realizes what kind of person he really was: The boss of a rogue assassin organization, the founder of a private school opposed to the shogunate, and... the teacher of three of her friends. Yukiko: Wait, when did they become my friends? Some boss: What do you mean? Aren't we already in a relationship where we swindle people together? Some wig: What do you mean? Aren't we already in a relationship where we fight for the restoration of the emperor together? Some destroyer: ... Some ahahaha: Ahahaha, there aren't just three! Wait, does that mean I'm already counted among those three? Someone here wasn't invited!! The shortest person is out! * After finally putting down roots in Kabukicho, Yukiko makes many friends. Her close confidant, partner, and card-playing companion, the owner of the Odd Jobs shop, tells her countless times that she doesn't have to shoulder everything alone, and that she should try telling him what's really troubling her. Watching him drink too much and mumble, mixing the truth into his drunken ramblings, Yukiko graciously leans close to his ear and asks, "You really want to know?" The shop owner: (Nods furiously) The woman's long hair falls forward as if it can no longer bear its own weight, and the warm yellow light of the izakaya can't brighten her deep-set eyes. She speaks softly. "I'm investigating the cause of my late husband's death. His name was Yoshida Shoyo, and he died on the battlefield ten years ago." "I have to find the person who killed him... [Revenge]." "Otherwise, I won't be able to go on living in this world either." From that moment on, the white-haired shop owner's gaze toward her becomes utterly strange. Careful, and filled with guilt. My apologies, my apologies. So she's our former teacher's wife! And how is he supposed to tell the woman before him that he was the one who killed her husband with his own hands ten years ago? * The resurrected teacher has something to say, too. "Actually, I'm not Yukiko's real husband." "Just as the person who killed 'me' isn't the one you all think it is." He smiles, until the gentle green warmth in his eyes drains away and gives way to a bloodthirsty gleam. "If you've forgotten your promise to me, if you avoid the words I left for you, how about we use another way to help you remember?" Yukiko: Darling, you're back from the dead? I've already started a new life (embraces a crowd of people) Some boss: ... You're not joining this family, you're coming back to it!!
