I Became the White Yaksha's Mother-in-Law?!

On her fortieth birthday, Yoshida Tsuki was shocked to discover that she had transmigrated into the world of "Gintama."

That day, her daughter grabbed a silver-haired samurai with naturally curly hair and happily said, "Mom, I've found true love."

Yoshida Tsuki: ??? Wait a second!

When Sakata Gintoki first visited his girlfriend's home, he heard that her father had married into her mother's family.

Gintoki stared at that familiar purple hair. "May I ask what your surname was before you married in, sir?"

Yoshida Shinjiro: "Takasugi."

Gintoki: ??? Wait a second!

Yoshida Tsuki transmigrated twenty-five years ago. At the time, she thought she'd landed in a historical transmigration drama, and with fighting raging around her, she hurriedly took the melancholy, handsome man she'd rescued deep into the mountains to live as a recluse. They also adopted an abandoned baby.

Believing that daughters have their own blessings, and that life without a daughter means more freedom for Mom, Yoshida Tsuki raised her daughter with a hands-off approach. When she heard that times had gotten better, she agreed to her daughter's request to try her luck in the big city.

Who knew she'd bring home the male lead from a manga Yoshida Tsuki had read!

Yoshida Tsuki: ...Am I going to be the White Yaksha's mother-in-law?

And why does her surname match that of the beloved teacher she's never forgotten? This is all a misunderstanding! They're really not related.

Why does her melodramatic transmigration romance start when she's forty?!

[Reader Advisory]

* The heroine really is forty in this world, but they're fictional characters, so she'll keep a youthful mindset.

* The heroine's husband is an original character, set up as Takasugi's uncle, who left home when he was young. He's also forty, a gloomy middle-aged man who's still quite the charmer.

* His surname is Yoshida, but he's not related to Teacher Shoyo.

* Lots of wildly melodramatic relationships, with shameless jokes and dark humor.

* A short story, updated whenever inspiration strikes. There won't be much of a main plot, just a bit of fun. More comments mean more motivation to update!

Theme: Life's dramatic climax doesn't necessarily come at any particular age.
