You Want Me to Redeem Him?

After Shen Yuchi died, he was bound to a redemption System.

The System wanted him to save Chen Baishui, another supporting character who died tragically and became the cherished ideal of countless readers.

Shen Yuchi laughed. "You're saying you want me, a supporting character who was miserable enough in my last life to take my own life, to save him?"

After the System confirmed it, Shen Yuchi dusted himself off and prepared to jump from the eighteenth floor.

But the next second, someone pulled him back. The person looked at him with reddened eyes, then after a long pause called him, "Brother."

Shen Yuchi: "?"

The System helpfully explained the situation.

Situation 1: The unlucky kid who still looks like he's in school is Chen Baishui. Shen Yuchi is his unrelated, nominal older brother. Because Chen Baishui is an Omega and good-looking, the original Shen Yuchi decided to take him in and give him away once he grew up.

Situation 2: Chen Baishui had no feelings for the original Shen Yuchi. In fact, the original Shen Yuchi was responsible for Chen Baishui's tragic death later on. Even so, remembering their past, Chen Baishui chose to take his own life in the end to save Shen Yuchi's reputation.

Shen Yuchi said, "Oh," as if it had all suddenly made sense.

"But what does that have to do with me?"

He swung one long leg over, preparing to jump again, but Chen Baishui clung tightly to his wrist. Forced back inside, Shen Yuchi finally took a proper look at him.

"Let me ask you something."

Chen Baishui looked at him blankly.

"How about we jump together?"

He didn't manage to jump. The next few times, Chen Baishui grabbed his hand too and called him Brother.

Theme: You're right, but could you let go of me first?
