Rain in a Time of Drought

A sunshine-avoiding younger seme x a gentle, aloof older uke

Wen Shaozhuo had imagined what kind of person he might fall for: someone young and cute, good at acting adorable, or both.

But he never expected the person who made his heart flutter to be the complete opposite of everything he’d ever wanted.

Xie Silin is mature, steady, gentle, and magnanimous. Just standing there is enough to make people long for him from afar.

Even his family, which many people would find troublesome, is so happy that Wen can’t bear to disrupt it in the slightest.

He’s certain that if his parents hadn’t known he could get along with anyone and deliberately sent him to win Xie Silin over, Xie would never have shared a roof with him in this lifetime, listening to him call him “Uncle” with such impure thoughts.

So when he once again finds himself unable to avoid falling for Xie, wanting to shatter this peaceful happiness, he coolly and cruelly asks himself:

“Why?”

“Wen Shaozhuo, get this straight. Some people are happiness itself just by existing. What gives you the right to shatter that with your shabby, self-important excuse for love?”

Why do you have to shatter it?
