[1]
Mu Yilin, a hardcore gamer, transmigrates into the courtly game Ruling the World and becomes the ruler of the Xia Kingdom.
Ruling the World is a game famous for its gorgeous character art and insanely challenging gameplay. Not only are all the palace attendants easy on the eyes, the court officials are beautiful enough to be mistaken for immortals, and the player, as ruler, can summon any of them to his bed.
The good news: He transmigrated with the game System and can do whatever he wants.
The bad news: The System has a tyrant quest. If he doesn't complete it, he'll have to endure the System's punishment.
At first, Mu Yilin can still enjoy poking at the gorgeous NPC portraits, watching the NPC dialogue scenes, slacking off, and finding loopholes to complete his quests.
But this life goes on for a year, two years, ten years, fifty years...
Two hundred years later, trapped in the capital and unable to take a single step outside, surrounded by people so terrified of the tyrant he is playing that they hardly dare breathe, Mu Yilin, an immortal and invulnerable player...
Completely loses his mind.
[2]
With a tyrant on the throne, everyone across the land lives in fear.
News spreads through the capital that the loyal Minister Xu, who devoted himself to the country and its people, was unjustly condemned by the tyrant and sent to his death with a cup of poison.
The newly crowned martial arts champion, Ren Shuruo, fills a flask with wine, puts on a straw hat, takes up his sword, and sneaks into the palace to kill the damned emperor.
Ren Shuruo thinks that with his looks and martial arts, he can catch the emperor, who is distracted by beauty, completely off guard and kill him in bed.
But the emperor only has to glance at him, disguised as a guard, before inexplicably throwing him into the heavenly prison.
"What a tyrant!" Ren Shuruo curses.
The tyrant just freezes and tells him to say it again.
What is wrong with him? Does he like being insulted?
Ren Shuruo obliges, choosing the nastiest things he can think of to say.
[3]
In his utterly tedious gaming life, Mu Yilin discovers for the first time that the game has changed.
The source of all the changes is the swordsman who snuck into the palace to assassinate him.
[A misunderstood emperor bottom, trapped in the capital for 200 years, mentally unwell, and fond of seeing beautiful, strong, tragic men suffer x a righteous martial arts champion, a top who worries for the world before it worries for him and finds joy only after the people do]
(P.S. The game Ruling the World takes inspiration from Deep Palace, The Emperor's Palace, Genshin Impact, Shining Nikki, and others. Readers can try guessing what other games are in there. I also mixed in some of my own ideas, so it's probably a hodgepodge. This is a crazy story I came up with after getting obsessed with taking beautiful people to bed and fighting palace intrigues, hehe.)

Can Even Hardcore Gamers Get Scammed?
[1]
Lan Xiang is an NPC in the Western fantasy-style online game Infinite. Right now, he's learning how to be a player.
His teacher is Chao Jinghui, a top player who carried the whole server, whom he won over with his tears.
When a quest is easy to fail because of one wrong choice, his teacher says: Use the save-and-reload trick!
Lan Xiang, a game native who can't afford rollback items because he has no premium currency, proceeds cautiously, trying every possibility so he can get the happy ending.
When a boss uses its ultimate attack as a basic one, his teacher says: Overwhelming force solves everything!
Lan Xiang, who isn't even an adult yet and has no attack, defense, magic, or agility stat above three digits, trembles in fear, trying not to get hit by an unavoidable move and hoping to kill the boss in return.
When an NPC he rescued praises him gratefully, his teacher says: Take the gold and treasures!
Lan Xiang, who was born shy in a poor little fishing village, has learned to be bad: G-gold and treasures!
[2]
Chao Jinghui, a top player who spends heavily and ranks first in combat power, takes on a young apprentice in the game.
Since the apprentice has a pretty good character design, Chao Jinghui puts up with how hopelessly stupid he is. In fact, because the apprentice is so sweet-talking, Chao Jinghui showers him with resources, treasures, and limited-edition outfits, all for free. He helps the apprentice plan his future while taking him through instances and quests.
He even agrees when the apprentice suggests becoming an in-game couple.
After all, the couple skills and outfits are really pretty.
It's definitely not because he's fallen for his apprentice!
No!
[3]
Lan Xiang's teacher is generous. He gives him whatever he asks for, and even things he doesn't ask for.
But those aren't what Lan Xiang cares about.
What Lan Xiang cares about has to do with time.
Since his teacher can rewind time without restraint, if Lan Xiang studies under him, could he one day learn time magic and go back to the past to save his family, who died in the tsunami?
Then one day, Lan Xiang discovers a bug in the couple skill "Together Forever." By using this bug, he can find the data stream from the past, which means he can get his family back.
I'm sorry, Master!
[4]
Unbelievable, the top player who carried the whole server, Chao Jinghui, has been scammed.
After he and his apprentice became an in-game couple, the apprentice disappeared. All the equipment and items Chao Jinghui had given him vanished, and the apprentice never logged in again.
Chao Jinghui curses the game Infinite for three thousand words, then quits.
When he's about to go out and clear his head, a little kid grabs his trouser leg pitifully.
The little ingrate, who looks and sounds just like his apprentice, says, "Master, please help me!"
Damn it all.
Just call me Master and I'll give you my life. (In a breathy voice.)
[5]
Lan Xiang didn't mean to.
He found his family, but in the real world.
It turns out his family in the game was modeled on real people: several programmers at the game company. Using the bug, and the fact that he himself is a bug, Lan Xiang somehow came to the real world. Two negatives made a positive.
As soon as he lands, he sees his teacher.
(It's basically a little story about a game big shot bottom x a game native top, with the focus on the top. The author is terrible at writing blurbs. The story itself is about the top being taken along as he levels up, so just read the story!)
Content warnings:
1. The bottom insults everyone equally, and he speaks very rudely, extremely rudely. The top gets insulted by him just as often as everyone else, if not more. (But the bottom isn't a bad person. He just speaks rudely. In terms of his actions, he isn't a bad person.)
2. (I'll add more if I think of anything.)
Theme: Don't get addicted to games
It's quite complete... Although it's not the same story as I expected, it's really good.
Cool! The plot has twists and turns, and the writing is also on point. The emotional line may be a little lighter, but the plot needs to be really good!!
Finished with flowers, 5 stars. α Is alpha, β is beta, γ is gamma, δ is delta, and ε is my love for my wife.
I knew you were players too. [White eyes]🐰🐰[cattle dog]
Woohoo boss, it's a good write-up, but I don't have much money. I love you.
Maybe it's because the author played with Bengtiegei, but now the image of Emperor Yan in my mind is that of the general who beats the sky XD
Wuwuwuwuwuwu, aren't you a sweet essay contestant? Why do you want to torture Xiao Mu 😭 😭 😭
My little bean is all worn in [scared]
I'm really sad to see this? Mental attack ahhhhh! That is, the immature writing style gave me a very empty, light and empty feeling after reading it. At first, I just felt that the writing style was a bit white, floaty, and the depiction was not good, but as I read along, the two hundred years of loneliness that were not described carefully in a few words, accumulated until now, it is really despairing. He has lived in such a terrifying, programmed world for two hundred years, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh on.. I know that Yilin may not care. His current mental state may be good, and he will have a bright future after he returns, but I am really, really sad... I am not in a good mental state to live to this day. I experienced so many things fifty years ago, so terrible. I am really, so sad... Give me a suffocating feeling? Especially when it gives me the feeling that no one else has, only him being exiled?? No wow! So uncomfortable?
I read it in one sitting, very nice!
