Low Fever [Broken Up, Then Reunited]

A frail fox X an honest little ray of sunshine

-

All the courage Bai Sizhi had in her life went into breaking up with Ji Yunli.

She never expected that five years later, she would have to face her ex-boyfriend again.

By then, he was a rising star in the tech world, while she was an unknown documentary director.

For the sake of her team, Bai Sizhi took a deep breath and knocked on Ji Yunli's door. "Hello, Mr. Ji."

But she had still overestimated how much she could handle, so she offered to withdraw from the project.

The director graciously agreed, but told her to explain the reason to him in person.

Bai Sizhi knocked on Ji Yunli's door once more. Before she could get a word out, the man raised his dark eyes. "Fine, Bai Sizhi. You abandoned me five years ago, and now you're doing it again. What's your excuse this time?"

Bai Sizhi had no answer.

So the man kissed her until she couldn't breathe, then murmured cruelly in her ear, "Bai Sizhi, no one else will be like you."

"You say you're sorry, but you turned your sick boyfriend into your ex-boyfriend."

He pressed close to her ear. "You should say..."

"Ji Yunli, I want to spend my whole life with you."

One-on-one. Both leads are inexperienced, an extremely melodramatic and devoted romance.

(She pursues him at university; later, the male lead patiently guides his way back into his wife's heart.)

Content warnings:

1. The male lead has a heart condition: cardiac scarring left by fulminant myocarditis. I'm still writing a story about heart problems.

2. I can't update daily. I write whatever comes to me in my dreams, and I'm a classic quitter who lacks confidence and rambles to herself.

3. You can drop the story without telling me. I'm genuinely very sensitive.

4. I only know how to write Mary Sue scenarios. If it's not to your taste, quit while you're ahead.

Theme: Be brave and pursue love.
