The Years of Love and Hate Between a Genuine Detective Matsuda and a Player

Bonus side stories: The players' little forum requires a 20% subscription rate, the crematorium staff diary requires 40%, and Gluonuo's fan-fiction forum requires 60%. Players, also known as the Fourth Catastrophe, are impossible to predict. For example, a player once kidnapped young Matsuda and brought him back to the Black Organization simply because he had endured a series of events that could turn anyone evil: being bullied at school, having a respected father who was a murderer, and so on. The player figured Matsuda was destined to become a high-ranking member of the Black Organization, and that not taking revenge on society would be downright unreasonable. But before the player could see his new favorite grow up, a sudden explosion sent him straight to the grave. Right before dying, this newly codenamed player had even adopted his favorite as his son. While sorting through the belongings of this cheap adoptive father, Matsuda accidentally bound himself to the player's System. From that day on, his life veered completely off course. “Join us. What is there to miss about the world of games? It's all an illusion.” The person opposite him wore a false smile and had bad intentions. “You're a variable, an AI we cultivated. Do you really think your entry into the real-world network was just a coincidence?” The other party gave a disdainful snort. “All they do is lie. They scam people out of money in the real world and out of their minds online. They'll leave you with nothing and make you their helpless plaything.” “Want to escape? There is a way, but can you afford the price?” The other person gave him a calculating once-over, as if weighing his worth. The established history was altered, and countless people's fates rewritten. As a result, everyone's future became unclear. They had set out on a brand-new path, one that would also lead them toward redemption. Through the haze, Matsuda heard a distant sigh. “You are not an NPC.” “You are the chosen one, and the only one.” Note: There are bugs everywhere. I wrote this without thinking, so please ignore them. A storage box for my brain. Lots of headcanon and canon changes. Lots of forum gossip and rumors. Lots of rambling. OOC warning. Read with caution. Contains lots of mob scenes (player-written stories that put the characters through hell, not real). Theme: I decide my own fate
