Jinpei Matsuda's Journey to Another World

Matsuda died in the line of duty on a Ferris wheel, but his consciousness was bound to a strange System.

The System, from a higher-dimensional world, wanted him to transmigrate to other worlds and save people, promising to resurrect him and his childhood friend once he completed the missions.

And so Matsuda Jinpei accepted the strange System's impossible-to-refuse missions, beginning an indescribable journey through other worlds.

A world where every modern literary giant abandoned writing for martial arts

One man and one System landed in a deserted junkyard. Their first step was to set his starting skill.

System: In this world, your special ability is [Disassembly Notes].

Matsuda: ? You mean that shabby notebook where I jot down experiences and inspirations whenever they come to me?

System: It's the only "work" you've got. Besides, no one will know unless you tell them. You can name it yourself. How about [Master Mechanic]? Sounds cool!

Matsuda: ... [Disassembly Notes] is fine.

Matsuda looked around and picked an abandoned shipping container to test his ability.

A certain walking bandage-dispenser: "...Sir, this is trespassing in someone else's home."

A world where swords could paint beautiful ukiyo-e in midair

Matsuda landed right in the middle of a Demon Slayer Corps battle. He was the sole survivor of a family slaughtered by demons that night.

System: You can choose a Breathing Style as your starting skill.

A blue-green flash of swordlight and a gust of wind saved a gravely wounded ordinary Corps member at the very last moment.

With the injured Corps member standing in front of him, equally badly wounded Matsuda said: Forget Breathing Styles for now. What I need is [Thou Shalt Not Die]!

Breathing Styles can be learned, but a healer's skill is one of a kind.

Well, a violent healer with a sword is still a healer.

A certain golden-haired crybaby: "Aaaaaah! Scary! Scary! So scary!!! Mr. Matsuda's treatment is scarier than demons!!! Tanjiro! Tanjiro, save me!!!"

Matsuda had saved enough resurrection energy and was about to unbind from the System on the spot.

Unwilling to lose such a quality Host, the System whispered like a devil: But a few of your other dear friends will die too...

Matsuda: ?

It kept whispering: The next one will die in just a few days...

Matsuda: ???

So, to save his unlucky fellow rookies, Matsuda had no choice but to start the "Extremely High-Risk Missions" on the list.

A world where nauseating creatures lurk everywhere

System: A new world, ohoho! Take a look at the skills you can choose from!

Matsuda, immediately ambushed at point-blank range by a cursed spirit: !!! What is there to choose?! Where's my sword? Where's my sword?!

A certain white-haired, insufferable cat had just struck a pose when a Grade 1 cursed spirit nearby was exorcised with a single slash.

The high school-age Gojo, who had clearly seen the Nichirin Sword appear out of thin air, sounded intrigued. "Oho, space manipulation?"

Matsuda: Huh?

System: !!! How did we run into the Six Eyes right off the bat?! Space manipulation, space manipulation...

While the System frantically searched for a space-based skill to patch things up, Matsuda had already been hauled back to Jujutsu High.

"Geto! The souvenir I was going to give you is gone! But I brought you a different one!"

After collecting a few more doses of resurrection energy, Matsuda returned to the equally unscientific world where grade-schoolers could kick satellites.

But instead of sitting around waiting for things to happen, he always chose to take the initiative: System, don't we have any missions to complete in our world?

System:! I knew it! A Host this exceptional only comes along once in a thousand years!

A word of warning: Matsuda is the protagonist, yes, but strictly speaking he's half participant and half bystander, so the original characters in each world get plenty of screen time. If you've read the pre-V chapters and that isn't your thing, feel free to stop here~
