The Protagonist Came Knocking After I Abandoned My Novel

Yan Tanzhi, a famous writer of melodramatic fiction, is confronted by the protagonist of one of his own stories.

But before he can even express his shock, the protagonist collapses straight into his arms.

Yan Tanzhi: ...

After being forced to take responsibility for the man he’d written into existence, Yan Tanzhi encounters a scene that feels strangely familiar. He vaguely remembers that the story he abandoned seemed to stop right when the protagonist came down with a fever.

Watching the poor guy’s fever refuse to break, Yan Tanzhi sighs and takes on the responsibility of looking after him, rushing around to feed him medicine. But why does this guy keep staring at his mouth?!

Sure enough, that stare leads to trouble.

In a feverish daze, He Zizhuo pulls Yan Tanzhi’s head down and tips his own up, easily pressing their lips together

After a night of passion, He Zizhuo is still dazed. He loops an arm around Yan Tanzhi’s neck and is about to deliver the standard domineering CEO line when Yan Tanzhi covers his mouth. “He Zizhuo, shut up... Don’t tell me the weather’s getting cold and the Wang family is going bankrupt.”

Yan Tanzhi closes his eyes, his heart a tangled mess. If he’d known things would be this awkward in real life, he wouldn’t have written a domineering CEO story or made the cannon-fodder friend the main character.

After a pause, he adds, “And I wouldn’t have written an ABO heat, either.”

Because this guy is an Omega in the middle of his heat, and the fever Yan Tanzhi walked in on was only the beginning

And the heat won’t end for another three days.
