After Arthur Berg killed the king on the throne once again, he still couldn't return to the dungeon to get a new body and keep parkouring.
He stood on the roof of a skyscraper, gazing down at the bustling crowds below, lost in thought.
How had things ended up like this?
Arthur had thought he wouldn't have to kill monsters anymore.
Honestly, he even kind of missed the days of killing, killing, and more killing. ()

New York's superheroes once again discovered signs of an external invasion.
Strange pink-and-blue worms began slithering through the sewers, while glowing neon-green humanoid zombies wandered everywhere, rushing up to enthusiastically smother anyone they saw.
And it wasn't just New York's sewers.
Strange mushrooms that made adorable noises began sprouting in Gotham's botanical garden. They pretended to be ordinary mushrooms until someone showed up, then pounced.
But...
Arthur: (casually swatting a mushroom away) Why did they come along too?!

Please note before reading:
1. No romance.
2. Major out-of-character behavior from the canon characters. Warning!
3. The protagonist comes from the game Dead Cells, and many of the settings in this story are taken from that game. You should still be able to follow along even if you haven't played it (probably).
Theme: As long as life goes on, so does parkour.
