Gotham Prison Simulator: Start!

* A work written for fun; updates whenever inspiration strikes.

* Multiple secret identities. No CP from beginning to end; if there's a CP, it's between the cult leader and a cultist.

* The timeline begins shortly after Batman's debut. The protagonist is on the Path of Light.

"Someone has died," Batman said.

Wilbur sat in his rocking chair, smoking a cigarette. His body had grown frail, his eye sockets and cheeks hollowed out, and his skin was so pale it seemed to glow. But his gaze burned bright as a torch. The man chuckled softly and said to Gotham's fear:

"Death is inevitable. At least, before he died, he had entered the Mansus without walls."

"What are you pursuing?"

"Immortality," the man said slowly, "or perhaps ascension."

Theme: Bro, are you playing Cultist Simulator again?
