A Love Triangle Is Going Nowhere

.

Nagi Hoshizuru is a student at the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School. She has three classmates in her year.

During a dangerous and thrilling curse-exorcism mission, she was chosen by the KP to become an honorable investigator, forced to infiltrate other worlds and investigate and resolve mysterious incidents.

After receiving a thorough explanation, Nagi Hoshizuru learned that investigators end up either insane or dead. She thought, how could she let her classmates miss out on such a great opportunity? So she recommended her classmates, who could fight, take a hit, and heal.

And so her three classmates, Shoko Ieiri, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto, joined her in becoming four honorable investigators.

Well, after completing their missions and returning, they still have to exorcise curses, so you could call it a side gig.

·

During a tabletop session, Nagi Hoshizuru looked at Suguru Geto's exceptionally beautiful face, illuminated by the flames, and couldn't help falling for him. Inspiration struck, and she asked the KP to roll for Charm.

Nagi Hoshizuru smiled and said sincerely, "Suguru, you and Satoru have no future together. Leave him and join Shoko and me."

Nagi Hoshizuru: "You see, a quadrilateral has no future. A triangle is the most stable shape."

Suguru Geto: ?

Suguru Geto gazed into Nagi Hoshizuru's beautiful, forest-like eyes and was momentarily dazed. He said, "Sure."

And so Suguru Geto honorably became Nagi Hoshizuru's newest best friend.

Satoru Gojo, cruelly abandoned: ?

"Damn it! Then I want to roll for Charm too. I want to charm Shoko into becoming my new best friend!" Satoru Gojo demanded angrily.

Satoru Gojo took off his sunglasses, revealing eyes as boundless as the heavens. Puffing out his cheeks, he pouted with a disgruntled look and said, "Shoko, you see how Hoshizuru went off to find a new best friend. You should abandon her too and become my friend!"

Shoko Ieiri: ...

Shoko Ieiri had no intention of being charmed, but there was no helping it. The Dice Goddess was the one and only. She now thought Satoru Gojo's Six Eyes were beautiful. For the sake of those blue eyes, she could bring herself to agree.

And so Shoko Ieiri honorably became Satoru Gojo's newest best friend.

The four, having swapped best friends, looked at one another in pairs: ...

The photobombing KP: ...Am I part of your little game too?

·

* No CP. All four have mutual crushes on one another, but they are purely friends. It's basically the Konoha version of playing house.

* Each of the four tries to leave one person out and form a triangle, because a triangle is the most stable shape. A quadrilateral really has no future.
