I’ll Grow Crops and Take Care of You

Qin Yan, CEO of a corporate group, is a refined, handsome, wealthy workaholic through and through.

But rumors say he's about to go bankrupt. At a class reunion, an old rival who has never gotten along with him deliberately picks on him. "Drink this bottle, and I'll take you in, brother. I'll even give you a job scrubbing toilets. How about it?"

He gives the former friends jeering at him a cold, expressionless look, one by one.

Someone walks in, snatches the bottle just inches from his lips, and pours it over the head of the loudest heckler. Then she turns to Qin Yan and asks, "Coming with me?"

In a simple white T-shirt and jeans, her hair in a neat ponytail, she has raven-black hair, red lips, and eyes still as clear as ever. She is the girl he loved at sixteen, his unreachable first love. A beautiful, poor girl and a refined, handsome corporate heir: the classic leads of a romance novel or idol drama. But when they were young, she turned him down.

Twelve years apart, and seeing her again, his heart still races wildly.

He lowers his eyes, tightens his fingers, and reins in his emotions before softly asking, "Why should I?"

She steps forward, takes his hand, and answers firmly and earnestly, "Because I can grow food and provide for you!"

Qin Yan hears that she had a rough time. She beat up her boss for sexually harassing her, quit in a fury, failed to find another job, and went back to her village to live off her parents.

Even so, she is still willing to grow food and provide for him.

This... isn't that love?!!!

Later, Qin Yan, who had only pretended to go bankrupt, looks at the row of vegetable seedlings he pulled up while weeding. Defeated, he asks his cousin Yu Ran, "I can't do anything. Do you think... Yu Ran still loves me?"

"You may not be able to do anything," his cousin says after giving it some thought, trying to encourage him, "but you look great. You've got abs and long legs. Don't be shy. Show her, and I refuse to believe she won't swoon!"

Qin Yan hesitates, but his long fingers honestly undo a button on his shirt...

She finds what she loves on the land where she was born and raised: a dazzling internet celebrity and the most beautiful guardian of the countryside VS a successful man who loses control for love: a domineering CEO who is hopelessly lovesick.

She's greedy. She wants more than Qin Yan's love. She also wants the confidence to accept it. Falling in love is easy, but spending a lifetime together takes facing reality., Yu Ran.
