Western Crossover: An Ordinary Sword Cultivator’s Day Job on a Superhero Set

Please add my upcoming Western Crossover story, Rich Tycoon When Free, Vigilante When Needed, to your collection! What did a billionaire ever do wrong by not wanting to be a costumed vigilante? -*-Synopsis A malfunction in the teleportation device sent the Justice League members on duty, along with the Watchtower, to another universe. Fortunately, a powerful cultivator from Huaxia was about to face his tribulation. Amid thunder and lightning, he successfully ascended. As promised, he cleaved the barrier between universes with a single sword stroke and sent them home, then casually shattered the void and departed. They thought they would never see him again. But just six months later, an unexpected visitor arrived at Wayne Manor, looking thoroughly disheveled. “Something went wrong, and I can't get back for the time being.” The honest sword cultivator Li Lingye sheepishly scratched his head, his voice growing quieter. “Also, I think I accidentally brought down a research building you invested in a couple of days ago...” Bruce's eyes narrowed slowly. Look what he'd found. A homeless little bird ball. Time to scoop him up :) The little bird ball clasped his hands together, still feeling guilty. “I'm really sorry! I'll do everything I can to pay you back!!!” After a moment's thought, Bruce gave him the sugary, scheming smile of Brucey the ruthless capitalist. “It's all right. But if you really feel bad about it, perhaps you could work for me to pay off the debt?” * After six months on the job, Li Lingye owed Wayne Enterprises fifty million on top of the cost of the building. Unconvinced, Li Lingye worked another year, only to find himself owing Stark Industries another fifty million. He had no choice but to take a part-time job in New York to keep paying it back. After a year and a half, Li Lingye gave up completely. With Batman's rare approval, he signed a very long-term employment contract, resigned to his fate. “...” * The disciples of Kunlun Immortal Sect paid a visit to Li Lingye, the only Earth Immortal in two thousand years, eager to learn: “What is the world like after ascension?” Li Lingye sighed deeply. “Sorcerers are everywhere, and outer gods are as common as dogs.” “But at least the internet is fast, and the takeout is pretty good.” As the disciples looked on, bewildered yet longing, Li Lingye suddenly patted one of them on the shoulder with a grave expression. “Train hard, hurry up and ascend, and join up with fellow cultivators who see the truth to overthrow this evil capitalism.” “I'm waiting online. It's urgent.” Reader's Guide: 1. His name is Li Lingye, not Li Ling. 2. Pairing with Superman. Collecting Kryptonian almonds with great enthusiasm~ 3. The whole story is silly and angst-free, guaranteed. The main world's timeline is my own version. The alternate worlds include Injustice: Lords Among Us and the Nightmare Realm, adapted for the plot with some original details. Please forgive me. 4. Superheroes, angels, and Autobots appear as background characters. Original and canon characters are treated with respect. The story doesn't glorify Eastern cultivation by putting down the source material. If you do, I'll hit you.
