Whaling My Way to Godhood in the Superhero World [Western Crossover]

[October 4: The story goes premium. There will be a 10,000-word update at midnight that day. After that, updates will be at 6 a.m. on weekdays and noon on days off.] [Note from 2024.1.12: I've been really busy lately, so updates may be less regular for a while. I'll do my best to update every day.] Superheroes are just characters in comic books. Royson has known that since he was little, so unlike everyone else, he never dreamed of superheroes showing up in his life. That is, until a strange app appeared on his phone. [First top-up: 1 yuan for a ten-pull, plus a versatile item: a red cape] What is this? Some newly released game? As a hardcore gacha game fan, Royson couldn't resist the temptation of a ten-pull for just 1 yuan, so... Huh? Why does the spirit behind this red cape look so familiar? Huh? Why does that red-and-gold tin man look so strange? Royson stared blankly for a long moment, then turned pale with shock. Aren't these people from superhero stories? * When the apocalypse came, superheroes gave up their souls to save the world, and the world entered an apocalyptic wasteland era. Meanwhile, in an unknown corner of the world, a newborn came into the world. "In this age where hope has been wiped out, you will become the world's one and only true god" [Short skit] Why did you save the world? Royson: "At first, I just wanted to play a gacha game." Royson: "In the end, I just wanted to complete the collection." Please note: 1. The main pairing is Superman. The male lead is a gacha addict who gets completely carried away. In the early part, he's playing a game. Later, he will enter the superhero world in person. The secondary pairing is Batman and Iron Man. It doesn't get much focus, and there isn't much romance overall. 2. There will be a hero banner, a villain banner, a god-era banner, a medieval banner, and so on. If they can be pulled, they're in the game. 3. The main focus is collecting cards, so there will be all kinds of characters. 4. The setting combines an apocalyptic wasteland with superheroes. Everything is original to this story. "Now, It's Time for a Horror Movie" Blurb: Xia Jiu inherited an estate from his grandmother: a movie theater on the verge of closing due to poor management. The theater's biggest problem is that nobody is willing to screen movies there. Xia Jiu glanced at the run-down building, whose sign was already hanging halfway off, and thought expressionlessly: It's no wonder no one wants to show movies here. There was nothing for it. The new owner had only just inherited the theater, but he gathered himself and began the long road to bringing it back to life. The only movies the theater showed were still ones its employees had made themselves. He took a look at their work: In the darkness, a pair of bloody hands reached for him from the movie screen; under the seats, a head rolled over to his feet with a clatter; above him, a long tongue slowly descended; A horror movie, then. Xia Jiu slapped away the bloody hands, kicked the head aside, and grabbed the hanging ghost by the tongue, hurling him away. Then he thought, Well, you have to admit, this theater is perfect for horror movies. Xia Jiu had never made a movie before, but took on the heavy responsibilities of screenwriter, cinematographer, and director. The only thing he still needed was an actor. So he looked toward the dark corners of the city. You all... Anyone willing to be in my movie? * A sudden wave of horror films swept through the entire entertainment industry. A new director emerged. Everyone said his movies were enough to make you break out in a cold sweat. The new director said, "I can't take the credit. My actors are the ones who put in all the effort." As he spoke, a pair of bloody hands reached out from behind him. The new director smiled and smacked them to the floor. "Sorry about that. The prop guy can be a little unruly." Everyone who witnessed the scene trembled with fear. They all said that in his movies... the ghosts were real. Theme: Even when the world is on the brink of ruin, we will give everything to save it
