Another day of being healed by the people around him! Still, something feels off... Hey, the crime rate in Beika Town has to be higher than an actual war zone by now, right? When did Japan get like this?! Caution: 1. A back-to-basics Detective Conan fanfic: no forums, no secret identities, no split personalities, and not a police academy rescue story. The protagonist stays completely in character from beginning to end. 2. I got roped into co-writing an outline by a friend. It's a very long buildup for the romance. The romance is the vinegar; the dumplings are sweet, child-friendly daily-life treats, with a rom-com tone like the original. 3. The Shirou in this story is Shirou: a gacha Servant with the personality he has in the original FSN game, unrelated to any derivative anime or manga. He is not EMIYA, not EMIYA, not EMIYA. I'll say it three times because it's important. Do not treat him as a substitute. If you don't like him, please don't click in out of curiosity or for the novelty. Follow your heart and spare yourself and me. 4. If you're particular about exclusive pairings, tops, bottoms, self-inserts, or protagonists being the center of the universe, or belong to any other such camp, please click the X in the upper-right corner to avoid hitting each other's squicks and making one another miserable. Suspecting each other is part of the appeal of detective manga, so please don't make a mountain out of it. If that doesn't work for you, this story probably isn't for you. 5. You can criticize my writing if it's bad, but don't attack the original characters because of my fanfic plot. I don't usually delete comments, but comments posted after watching “Detective Conan: The North” aren't welcome, nor are interpretations that stray too far from the characters.
