The students are panicking, but no one is more worried than principal Shen Suizhao.

The reason is simple: his Main God husband, who has been asleep for years and built the infinite-flow instances and horror campus with his own hands, woke up at the worst possible moment!

We're doomed!

But there's good news: his husband has amnesia.

So, hoping to avoid punishment for squandering the family fortune, Shen Suizhao looks at Ling Shen, who's staring back in confusion and asking about their relationship, and suddenly has an idea. "Hey, you're Ling Shen, the specially appointed professor our school hired at great expense! You teach ghosts!"

Ling Shen, the cold Main God who controls the infinite-flow world, wakes from a long sleep to find that the world has changed completely.

The infinite-flow game he carefully designed has been turned into a playground for the powerful by a bunch of parasites.

And ordinary people, unaware of the truth, are denouncing the achievements he risked his life to protect the world for.

Worst of all, his sunny, cheerful principal husband, Shen Suizhao, is gazing at him with shining eyes as he lies there, dazed and slow-witted from waking up. Shen Suizhao clutches his sleeve with big, puppy-like eyes, looking relieved. "Y-You're the new specially appointed professor! You lost your memory in a work accident!"

Ling Shen, whose memories have already returned while Shen Suizhao was talking: "..."

How is it that after all these years, his husband's lying face is still so adorable?

But as he watches his big-dog principal husband look guilty while desperately trying to maintain his authority, sees the infinite-flow system he built with his own hands teetering on the brink, and watches those parasites throw their weight around in the instances...

The newly awakened Main God smiles faintly and decides to keep playing along.

And so Professor Ling, the cool, beautiful teacher, makes his debut.

Long hair down to his waist, an aloof air, and rigorous teaching.

But behind the scenes:

He predicts every move, leaving players who bully ghosts and show off in the instances questioning their lives.

He sets traps in the rules, making guild bosses who monopolize resources lose their shirts.

And, as a bonus, he enjoys the principal husband's guilty, attentive "special care."

Shen Suizhao is panicking.

His husband is still impossibly powerful after supposedly losing his memory, and sometimes his gaze is so familiar that it makes Shen Suizhao's heart tremble.

But while desperately keeping his lies straight, he can't help secretly celebrating: Making his husband a teacher was a brilliant move! Watching him beat the stuffing out of those jerks feels so good!

Until one day, Shen Suizhao is gravely injured protecting his students. The supposedly forgetful "Professor Ling," whom he has always been taking care of, instantly drops his disguise. His terrifying aura crushes their powerful enemy, and he carefully lifts Shen Suizhao into his arms, whispering in his ear:

"Principal, have you had enough of this act?"

"Or should I call you... Zhaozhao?"

Reader's guide:

1. This is a nontraditional infinite-flow story. Since it's told from the NPC side, it's not frightening. There is a (fake) amnesia trope, but it's not angsty at all. The romance is entirely sweet. The top never lost his memory; he just saw his husband and couldn't bring himself to face him, so he went along with the lie and took the chance to court him all over again.

2. The bottom may be timid around the top, but he's not weak. He's only timid around him because he loves him. The top also loves and spoils his husband.

3. The top's POV appears a little more often early on, but the outline gives the bottom more POV overall, so this is bottom-centric. The author has no strong preference for either role and loves both leads. This book is purely about a couple falling in love.

4. All horror theories in this story are things I've made up myself. They aren't based on any actual theories and have no reference value.

5. The courses and campus life combine elements of high school and university, so details from either stage may appear. It's a bizarre academy, so of course it'll differ from real life (not really).

His subordinates tease that He Ran is trying to steal Fu Yuan's man, but Fu Yuan only smiles without answering. He knows better than anyone how sentimental Shen Yunqi is. From relying on each other at the orphanage to becoming a pillar of the Security Bureau, Shen Yunqi can't leave him. Besides, Shen Yunqi's other childhood friend died in the early days of the Weird's arrival. There's already grass two meters tall on his grave.

Shen Yunqi has only him.

Until the news that Shen Yunqi was gravely injured jolts Fu Yuan awake from his cushy life. He pushes open the hospital-room door, only to see He Ran holding Shen Yunqi in his arms and kissing him. The profile of He Ran's lowered face is shockingly similar to the outline of someone Fu Yuan remembers but has long since forgotten.

After losing his memory, He Ran spent seven years drifting through life. He finally rose from the bottom of society to a high-ranking position at the Security Bureau through his achievements, only to suddenly discover that he was merely a background character in a bittersweet unrequited-love novel disguised as a story about the Weird's resurgence. If he doesn't change the plot, he'll die in a year.

He'd always scoffed at this so-called plot, until he saw the novel's protagonist bottom, who was abused by the top throughout the entire book.

His memories suddenly return, and He Ran's eyes redden with fury. Damn it, that's the wife he'd treasured in his heart since childhood!

So He Ran takes advantage of a promotion to transfer to the Special Operations Group. When he spots the legendary cold-blooded killer, his heart pounds like a drum.

Later, Fu Yuan, enraged, kicks open the door to the Inspector's office, only to find He Ran holding Shen Yunqi close as he lowers his head to undo Shen Yunqi's shirt buttons with his teeth. Shen Yunqi, usually so cold, doesn't resist. His face is merely flushed as he lets He Ran leave a mark on his collarbone, and only when he hears the door open does he panic and bury himself in He Ran's arms.

The impeccably dressed Inspector seems to know who just arrived, but doesn't stop. When he raises his head, his eyes are full of mocking amusement:

"Group Leader Fu, you didn't really think you were his only childhood friend, did you?"
