A Second-Person-Perspective Otome Infinite-Flow Story

This story will be completely free, and I don't plan to put it behind a paywall. If there are updates, they'll be scheduled for exactly 9 p.m. every night. (Since each chapter is only 2,000 words, the little pink flower won't light up, but there really is an update. If it doesn't go up at 9, I probably messed up the schedule by accident. That's unlikely, though.) I may post extra chapters depending on comments, favorites, and so on, so please add it to your reading list and leave a comment! I don't think I'll abandon it, since I like this story quite a lot (ahem). But I'm in a bit of an inspiration drought and also working on chapters for stories I want to write later, so updates may be slow. I can't be bothered to apply for a ranking, so updates will be whenever. If I manage to write 2,000 words while slacking off, I'll schedule them for 9 p.m. that night. The main pairing is BG (there are relatively submissive male characters, but it's BG, not GB). It's listed under multiple pairings because a female character develops feelings for you that go beyond friendship. Story blurb: You're an ordinary rich second-generation kid. Your only family consists of your younger brother, a doting sister-complex billionaire who's been your closest companion since your days in the orphanage, and a kitten you just brought home that turns cute whenever it doesn't get its way. Every day, you slack off at work, then go home and cuddle your cat. Life is easy and carefree, until one day you're suddenly chosen to enter an infinite-flow game. You figured that with your habit of lying flat and slacking off all day, you'd inevitably die in the game. But once you entered, you discovered that things weren't quite as you'd imagined. Huh? Why is everyone else struggling to survive in the levels, while the bosses keep giving you "special treatment"? Not only is it hard for you to die, but every time you enter a level, you come away with a haul of top-tier gear! At first, you thought entering an infinite-flow game would be the low point of your life. Who could have guessed that it would make your already cheat-code-level life even better? Even the people around you in the real world are gradually starting to act strange. What?! Your miserable CEO, who never gives you any work but still pays your salary on time, has secretly been in love with you for ages? The moment you mention quitting, he immediately offers you a promotion and a raise, doing everything he can to keep you? What?! Your gentle and virtuous brother, the perfect twenty-four-filial-piety type who never shows interest in women, is actually a yandere? He's secretly built a gigantic gilded cage to keep you in? What?! The obedient junior from school who's always following you around is actually a green tea schemer? Every bit of his seemingly clueless, natural behavior has been calculated from the start? Even the little black cat you casually brought home, who disappears whenever you bring up getting it neutered, can turn into a handsome young man and cling to you, calling you "sis"? What's scarier is that they all seem to be powerful figures with their own secret identities, constantly at each other's throats. All you can do is stare blankly at the battlefield that looks ready to destroy the world. Hey, wait! Stop fighting! Reader's guide: 1. The heroine is you, the reader, and the story is meant for self-insertion. You're a clueless heartthrob who just wants to get through the levels properly. 2. Mary Sue warning. All the male love interests start out completely into you, so you don't need to pursue them. In other words, they'll pursue you. The horror elements take a back seat to the Mary Sue elements. 3. I'm writing this for fun, so the prose and logic are a mess. But the whole story is free and will never go behind a paywall. 4. Since the whole story is free, the author accepts no responsibility. Don't insult the writing or the author, argue about the plot, attack the characters, or complain about the character setting for "you." Comments that make people uncomfortable will be deleted. This is a dating-sim story, so no BL. I'm a multishipper who enjoys everything, but every story is completely separate and independent. "You" are assumed to be female. If you insist on imagining yourself as male, please don't say so. 6. I originally wanted to make this an interactive game like Orange X or X Dimension, but the cost of signing with Jinjiang and commissioning character art was discouraging, so I turned the idea into a story. Since I can't set choices, "you" are assumed to be an unassertive, big-hearted blockhead who doesn't initiate and is slow to notice intimate contact. (If I have time, I may add branches where "you" take the initiative in the author's notes.) 7. Besides the four male love interests mentioned in the blurb, there's also a hidden one. The outline is set, but the detailed plot isn't finalized, so new men may appear at any time. Since you're a heartthrob, these characters may fall for you at any moment. (Love interests outside the outline may not start out completely into you.) There are also lots of mindless cannon-fodder villains. Don't read if that bothers you. 8. "You" aren't an overpowered heroine from the start. You're pretty useless early on, and you'll lie flat and rely on men. You're not a villainess either, with an alignment closer to chaotic good. Some male love interests may be morally questionable, so don't read if that bothers you. 9. In this story, all male characters other than those who appear with an established partner and cannon fodder are completely devoted and sexually inexperienced. After all, in this story, any random male passerby could become a heart-fluttering love interest at any moment, and this author writes BG, not the terrible trope of an unfaithful male lead. (At present, the planned love interests, including everyone in the blurb, number more than ten, and that number keeps growing.) 10. I'll add more if I think of anything.
