Blurb:
Trinity College is the most prestigious aristocratic boarding school in the Galactic Empire. It upholds a traditional gentleman's education, emphasizing the all-around development of academics, athletics, and culture and the arts.
Children from aristocratic and upper-echelon plutocratic families usually attend Trinity College for an elite education before their secondary gender presentation.
The academy has a strict hierarchy, and commoners admitted through special recruitment are often ostracized and bullied.
Adrian is a poor student from a remote star system. Poverty and beauty are the only things he has.
At fourteen, he passes Trinity College's special entrance exam and is about to become a student at its theology school.
The day after receiving his acceptance letter, Adrian has a dream.
It turns out the world he lives in is a harem novel about a universally adored omega.
The story's protagonist is the noble-born son of a duke, an aloof and untouchable beauty. He is also the only heir in his family destined to present as an Omega.
He gets into all sorts of coercive relationships with several high-quality Alphas, runs away while pregnant, returns with a child, and ultimately gets a perfect harem ending.
Male Lead Alpha No. 1: an emperor-class Alpha, heir to the Golden Lion family, betrothed to the protagonist, and the main figure in the forced marriage and possessive pursuit.
Male Lead Alpha No. 2: a butler-class Alpha, a long-haired, bespectacled yandere who's sweet on the outside and dark underneath, a traitor in the making, and the younger brother of Male Lead Alpha No. 1. He's always ready to act out a forbidden sister-in-law romance.
Male Lead Alpha No. 3: a loyal puppy-type teenage Alpha, the grand commander of the Knights Templar. Wherever his sword points, there his heart follows.
Adrian, meanwhile, is the protagonist's substitute: lowborn, with ambitions higher than the heavens and a life as fragile as paper.
In the original story, he fails to recognize his place. He wants to use his beauty to climb into high society, not realizing that these heaven-blessed elites are all top-tier predators and ambitious schemers, hypocritical, shrewd, greedy, and treacherous.
They covet Adrian's resemblance to the protagonist, yet despise his vulgar ambition, so they toy with him as they please.
In the end, the princes and princess live happily ever after, while Adrian, the vicious cannon-fodder character, repeatedly plots against the protagonist and meets a tragic end.
Having learned the plot in advance, Adrian decides to stay away from the protagonist and his harem. He only wants to graduate from the academy in peace and steer clear of this pack of scumbags.
But where he can't see, the plot is spiraling out of control.
Mysteriously missing underwear, sleep paralysis in the middle of the night, and those watching, yearning gazes in the library...
Everything points to one thing: he has long since become prey in their hunting grounds.
Reader Advisory:
1. A large-scale battle for love, with mild dark and disturbing content. Everyone is a villain, including but not limited to fathers and sons fighting over the same person, brothers turning against each other, and frequent infidelity.
2. The male lead is an ambitious schemer, a combination of egoism and romanticism, with a severe Oedipus complex. He's a mama's boy and an overprotective older brother. He doesn't start out slaughtering everyone, and the supporting characters aren't lovesick fools either. Some are harder to win over than others, and the story has both a career plotline and a romance plotline.
3. Volume One is the academy arc; Volume Two is the empire arc. The story will be fairly long, starting when the male lead is fourteen, and the protagonists present relatively late.
4. The setting is fictional: a futuristic interstellar ABO space opera. It includes many original worldbuilding elements and personal interpretations, so please don't relate it to reality. Some elements draw on history, but historical fact-checking is not welcome.
5. Not a single-love-interest story and not a choose-your-own-love-interest novel. The protagonist's love interest is already decided and appears from the start, but their identity and name are being kept secret for now.
