[I'll jump the queue once I've saved up enough advance chapters]
Bound to the Nuwa Descendant System, Nie Ge transmigrates into a scrawny, destitute girl with nowhere to live on a garbage planet. Sitting on a trash heap, she's trying to decide whether to have spoiled braised fish or moldy steamed buns for her birthday feast.
Nie Ge: ?
She spots a military academy recruitment banner drifting through the air: Room and board included, plus an allowance. She rushes over.
Admissions Office: This is a military academy. We respect science and reject superstition.
Nie Ge: Can I believe in Nuwa scientifically? Like, make electronic offerings?
Admissions Office: We use mechs in battle now. Who still uses cold weapons?
Nie Ge: You don't mind if I casually make a clay figurine, do you? One that can fight.
With one place left, the admissions officer shuts their eyes and says: You're in.
One day, senior military officials visit for an inspection. They see everyone practicing combat, except for one petite girl making clay figurines of her classmates. Furious, one of them says, "Why is someone in the combat division skipping class and playing with mud all day? Deduct points, give her a demerit, and expel her if she does it again!"
That night, star beasts launch a massive invasion. The allied forces are caught off guard by a traitor and suffer devastating losses, forcing the military academy students, still fresh recruits, onto the battlefield.
The beasts roar. Their mass mental attack is impossible to resist. Nie Ge cries out for her mother to save her, and Nuwa appears in the starry sky, gazing down at all living things with compassion. The beasts fall silent.
The mechs are destroyed one after another, and the mechanics are injured and unconscious, leaving their forces desperately short-handed. Nie Ge uses clay to repair the mechs, doubling their defense and attack power.
With fewer and fewer fighters, the star beasts break through their lines and are about to charge straight into the rear. Nie Ge leads a huge crowd of clay-figure classmates to hold them off. They fight like their lives don't matter, and they can even pilot mechs. Their side's firepower is unprecedented.
After that, clay-made Saints, clay-made super battleships, and clay-made laser cannons take turns bringing a tiny bit of the shock of mud-play to the battlefield.
That night, the Milky Way glittered.
The Federation was left red-faced, the star beasts were stunned, and both sides fell into an eerie silence.
The next day, senior military officials came to the academy in person and set aside a huge plot of land for Nie Ge. "Good girl, is this enough space for you to play with mud? If not, we'll give you more!"
Nie Ge demurely replies: "It's alright, I guess." (Squish, squish, squish...)
