Ran Chu nods, blushing as she speaks softly. "Everyone says you're my boyfriend. I can't explain my way out of it. A lot of people like you, and they tore up my books. I want revenge for them."

"And?"

"Um... why don't we try dating?"

That very day, news that the campus heartthrob Lu Qiao was dating the bookish transfer student in the senior class spread throughout the affiliated school. Heartbreak was everywhere.

Only on graduation day did Ran Chu learn that the rumor had started because of a bet, and Lu Qiao had dated her so he wouldn't affect her exam results. She didn't cling to him at all. She was the one who broke up with him, then changed her college application and went to a city far away from him. She heard Lu Qiao searched for her for a long time, but she just smiled and let it go.

They met again when she joined the top company in the industry and came face-to-face with her direct superior: Young Master Lu, who had just returned from overseas to gain experience at his family's company. Handsome and young, he had won countless hearts.
