After Swapping Bodies with Scotland

When he opened his eyes, Asumi Akiteru had become a fresh corpse.

At first, he thought the owner of this body was just unlucky. Later, he discovered that the body belonged to a supervillain with such a lengthy criminal record that he could spend the rest of his life behind bars. He lived in constant fear, hiding wherever he could, but you can dodge trouble for a while, not forever. In the end, he still couldn't escape being brought to justice.

While wondering whether it was his body or himself that would die when he was sentenced to death, he finally learned the truth: the body's owner's villainy was all an act. He was a champion of justice, an upright undercover investigator.

And so, he transformed from a criminal into a public security officer. His considerate superior even assigned him a new assistant to help him adjust to his new life back in the light.

To uncover the true cause of this body's death, he and his assistant launched a series of investigations, solving mysteries, earning promotions and raises, and becoming winners in life!

One day, he met someone who immediately slung an arm around his shoulders.

"Morofushi, long time no see! You could at least reply to a message once in a while! Is your mission over? Are you heading back to the Metropolitan Police Department?"

Asumi Akiteru broke into a cold sweat. Oh no, who is this overly familiar guy?

His assistant whispered behind him, "His name is Jinpei Matsuda. You were classmates at the police academy, and you were really close. Smile naturally and say hi."

"Oh, Matsuda! Long time no..."

Asumi Akiteru's expression gradually stiffened. He turned around in horror. "...??"

Wait, how do you know I don't know that?!

When his undercover identity was exposed, Hiromitsu Morofushi resolutely chose to kill himself to protect the intelligence and the safety of his friends and family.

When he opened his eyes again, he had become someone else.

Even more interestingly, he discovered that "he" was alive.

In that case, he would start by studying for the civil service exam, then go to the National Police Agency and find out why he'd been exposed :)

Two storylines run in parallel, and they will switch back.

I'll try to explain the body swap scientifically.

Since they can swap bodies, assume everyone survives!
