[Detective Conan] How I Arrested My Future Boss

Here's what happened: I caught a criminal suspect, and then my superior gave me a thorough scolding.

Fine, I admit I was conflicted before I made my move, but being conflicted didn't stop me from punching him hard.

Three days after getting chewed out for no apparent reason, my superior called me into the office again.

Looking at the hot tea set in front of me and my superior's gaze, gentle as water, I fell into deep thought.

I figured I was probably getting fired.

"Civil servants can't just be fired," I reminded my superior.

"Fired? Anyway, congratulations, you've been transferred!"

What?! They were exiling me straight to the logistics department?!

"Welcome to the Security Planning Division!"

I fell into deep thought again.

"You mean the Security Planning Division on the top floor?"

"That's right."

"The mysterious Security Planning Division?"

"That's right."

"Just to confirm, you mean that impressive Security Planning Division that takes over other people's cases as soon as they flash their badges?"

"Don't worry, you heard me right. It's that impressive Security Planning Division that snatches your case as soon as they flash their badges!"

I accepted :D

It's not like I particularly wanted to join the Security Planning Division, but I had to figure out why I was suddenly being transferred there.

I admit I'm both smart and good in a fight, a rising star, but a transfer this sudden must have a reason.

On my first day reporting to the new department, I saw a familiar face and fell into deep thought.

"Are you my new superior?"

The criminal suspect I'd recently escorted to the police station nodded.

Great, got it. So this is a case of using his position to settle a personal score!

"Ha! Bring it on!"

Hiromitsu Morofushi: ...Huh?

[Hiromitsu's perspective]

Knocking out a criminal suspect while undercover and being taken to the police station sounds a little embarrassing, but before he could even get back to the organization and report in, news that his undercover identity had been exposed had already spread.

Organization members: Someone tipped off Scotch, and he ran!

Scotch himself: I got knocked out and locked up at the station. I just woke up...

The self-proclaimed rising star of the police force, who locked up an undercover investigator and accidentally helped him avoid disaster: Ha! Bring it on!
