The Holy Grail Doesn't Want to Be Human Anymore

[I've been wanting to write this one, so I'm bumping it up for now. It feels like the only danmei novel where I can run wild anywhere... How dare I open so many no-CP preorders?]

*

As an all-powerful wish-granting machine, the Holy Grail had seen all kinds of people.

The foolish, the greedy, the arrogant, the saintly, the brave, the selfless... All sorts of people came to make wishes to it.

Any wish was possible. Whether they wanted to become a king or a pope, win someone's heart, or destroy the world, any wish made to the Holy Grail could come true.

But the Holy Grail found itself growing more and more bored with all this.

Are there no more interesting humans? A world like this might as well...

"Then my wish is this: I want the Holy Grail to become human, an ordinary human who can feel emotions and fall in love with someone."

This is bad.

◆

Even after becoming human, the Holy Grail is still one of the worst people around. He can pinpoint scumbags who share his interests, and still lures other people into his traps.

And yet his wish really did come true.

He really did become an ordinary human who could feel emotions and fall in love with someone.

"Do you really love him?"

"Of course! Are you underestimating me? This love is about to burst out of my heart... Come to think of it, do I even have one? Never mind. The point is, I'll get him by any means necessary!"

"...?"

"That guy has a heart of gold... Even after becoming human, I won't let him go. Even if I have to stake my last bit of power and use up my life, I have to see the look of despair on his face!"

"You're a real piece of work."

"...Thanks?"

"No one's praising you!"

[Reader's Guide]

① A crossover of all kinds of anime and manga; pretty much anything might make an appearance. There'll probably be Detective Conan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and others. The protagonist's power system is based on Fate.

② From the blurb, you can tell the protagonist is a twisted, thrill-seeking villain who always wants to torment good people. But in reality, he's probably the one being tormented. A trash Holy Grail like him deserves to be ○○! (?)

③ Maybe there can be a CP after all. I suddenly got a new idea, so let me try it... Anyway, it's just to replenish magic power.) Let me do this!

④ I'll polish the title and blurb some more, but the premise won't change, so feel free to bookmark it. (I've even commissioned the cover!)

Theme: Don't expect something for nothing. You have to strive for happiness yourself instead of wishing for it.
