My new novel, Everyone Is Hoping We’ll Get Divorced, is out now! Come check it out, please qwq
In the past, Emperor Yu Zheng was framed by a villain and cast down into the mortal realm, where he lost all his memories. A little flower spirit named A Chu took him in, and in time the two fell in love and married. Their life was simple but exceptionally sweet, and they believed they would love each other faithfully until the end of time.
Then one day, the haughty, imperious emperor regained his memories and disavowed everything he had done in the mortal realm. “I was amnesiac before, and you deceived me. It doesn’t count. Just pretend none of it ever happened.”
At a loss, A Chu clung to him and begged him to stop joking like that. He left him with just one sentence: “Your husband is dead.”
Crying stubbornly, A Chu repeated over and over, “Give my husband back to me.”
He was even colder. “Keep pestering me and I’ll kill you too.”
Perhaps his heart had finally turned to ash. At last, A Chu left, and Yu Zheng was able to enjoy some peace. He tried to return to his old life, only to find that he couldn’t settle down at all.
His mind was full of A Chu’s tearful eyes and sorrowful face. Memories of their time together kept replaying before him, impossible to shake. He couldn’t stop wondering if A Chu would be mistreated after leaving. That was when he realized he wasn’t as unaffected as he’d imagined.
He went back, wanting to demand what sort of spell A Chu had cast on him, what underhanded trick he had used to make him feel so miserable. More than anything, he wanted to know whether A Chu would find someone else now that he was gone.
But when he returned to the home they had shared, all he found was A Chu’s empty grave.
A Chu was dead, and his husband had become a stranger. His heart, too, turned to ash, withering away alongside the love he had lost.
Yu Zheng searched for him like a madman, scouring every corner of heaven and earth and questioning every King of Hell and immortal he could find. There was no body, not even a trace of his soul. A Chu seemed to have dissolved into the wind, vanished without a trace.
Just as he had wished, he had lost his little flower forever.
The once invincible God of War fell to demonic ways in a single night.

All the gods knew that the ancient and noble Qingyao clan lived in seclusion in Lingchuan. Mysterious and elusive, they had never shown themselves to the world. Then, one day, the Qingyao clan suddenly emerged from seclusion. Their only descendant, Prince Fu Shuang, had inexplicably had a child, and to ensure the child had both parents, he decided to hold a marriage competition. Men and women alike were welcome, as long as they were a good match.
The whole world was in an uproar. Every unmarried man and woman rushed to sign up. The prince thought they were all quite good and couldn’t decide whom to choose. Someone suggested, “Your Highness is so distinguished that you could take them all. No one would think it excessive.”
Fu Shuang thought that made sense. He decided to get to know everyone and take a few spouses. But then a demon barged into his matchmaking ceremony, repeatedly claiming to be his husband and the child’s real father, and insisting he couldn’t see anyone else.
For some reason, Fu Shuang felt an immediate aversion to that face. And the man was a demon, to boot. Without hesitation, he sentenced him to death: “In your dreams. I could like anyone, but I could never like you.”
I once saw you off for three thousand miles. Now we meet again, east of Lingchuan.
There’s a child. The little flower bears fruit and gives birth, but the baby stays in the form of a spirit fruit = =
Take a look at my upcoming angsty historical BL novel, Missing You from Afar~
In his past life, Nan Mi fell in love with Zhuang Chao at first sight and pursued him relentlessly. Everyone in the capital knew how deeply devoted Nan Mi was, willing to bare his heart and soul for Zhuang Chao. He didn’t care. He even obtained an imperial decree and willingly married Zhuang Chao as his male wife.
But Zhuang Chao wanted nothing to do with his pursuit. He felt only disgust, and after being forced to marry him, that disgust reached its peak.
They spent three cold, miserable years in a broken marriage. When Nan Mi learned that Zhuang Chao was going to take a secondary consort, he finally understood what it meant to be heartbroken and utterly crushed. He fell ill, took to his bed, and never recovered, eventually ending his mistaken life in regret and pain.
Reborn, he reflected on everything he had done in his past life and realized it had all been wrong. A melon forced off the vine won’t be sweet, and Zhuang Chao would never love him. No amount of clinging would change that. Better to let Zhuang Chao go, and himself as well.
He would never get involved with Zhuang Chao again. He would try to build a new life without him.
What he couldn’t understand was why, after he was reborn, Zhuang Chao started pursuing him instead, saying he wouldn’t let him slip away again and wanted them to spend their lives together.
But Nan Mi was so tired. Loving Zhuang Chao was so exhausting. He didn’t want to love him anymore.
In his past life, Zhuang Chao had always thought Nan Mi was the most irritating person in the world. He kept claiming to love him and pursued him relentlessly, never caring what Zhuang Chao wanted. He was overbearing and domineering.
He had even petitioned for an imperial decree that forced Zhuang Chao to marry him as a male wife, ruining Zhuang Chao’s chances of competing for the throne.
They spent three cold, miserable years in a broken marriage. Zhuang Chao often thought that he had to become emperor. Once he did, they could divorce and never see each other again.
When he finally returned after seizing the throne, all that awaited him was a pile of bones. Three years later, grief made him gravely ill, and he died of a broken heart before his dead wife’s grave.
Reborn, Zhuang Chao cherished this second chance with all his heart. He had finally understood: from childhood companions to bitter spouses, it had all been because he stubbornly insisted on seeing things his own way. Since Heaven had given him another chance, he was willing to compromise and spend his life happily with Nan Mi. But when he went to find Nan Mi, the other man apologized in a polite, distant voice, saying their past life had been a mistake and promising never to pursue or love him again in this life.
Nan Mi gave the gifts he had once given Zhuang Chao to other people. He had painted portraits of everyone, but not a single one of Zhuang Chao.
Nan Mi really had stopped pursuing and loving him. Now Zhuang Chao was the one who couldn’t leave him alone.
“I miss someone far away, and my heart aches with longing.”
A passionate love story, full of angst and heartbreak, but both leads are virgins and each other’s first love. There will be no secondary consort, and he will neither marry one nor want to. The two leads are devoted to each other in body and soul. In their past life, they became bitter spouses because their circumstances and intentions were at odds. The general mood is probably angst, then yearning, then sweetness w
Theme: Cherish the one you have.
