The Daoist Heart

Mei Xiang is a farm wife living at the foot of Cuiping Mountain. Her husband is honest and hardworking, her daughter clever and quick-witted, and the two elders in the family kind and easygoing. Together, they live an ordinary life. One day, the family of three is gathering firewood in the mountains when an immortal swordsman flies across the sky on his sword. Mei Xiang watches, entranced, and lets herself dream: how wonderful it would be if her daughter could cultivate immortality too. Then one day, her husband comes home with a treasure and whispers that if their child eats it, she’ll gain a spiritual root. No one could have imagined that this would mark the beginning of a cataclysm. An ordinary family of mortals ventures into the world of immortal cultivation. Note: The female lead is imperfect.
