Being Everyone's Mama-san in the Ninja World

Ji Xingxing died, the kind of dead where you can't reincarnate and just vanish into nothing.

It was because, during her last mission, she had somehow made up a C option when the System had only given her options A and B. She had managed to complete the mission, more or less, but Ji Xingxing was thoroughly dead.

She had always been pretty relaxed about life and death.

If she could live, she'd live. If not, she'd prefer a painless death.

People and life are more or less the same. The world wouldn't be any worse off with her in it or without her. Besides, she was tired of living. She could just give up thinking, like Kars.

So the moment the mission was complete, she happily accepted the fact that she was about to vanish into nothing.

The result:

[Ding! Since the Host has completed the mission well, you now have a chance to be reborn...]

Ji Xingxing: ? No, please let me die.

System: ? Is there really someone who doesn't want to live?

[System: In the new world, you can learn incredibly powerful ninjutsu.]

Ji Xingxing: No, please let me die.

[System: In the new world, you can have a whole harem.]

Ji Xingxing: No, please let me die.

[System: In the new world, you can...]

Ji Xingxing: Can't I just vanish into nothing?

[System: ?? Why are you so determined to die?]

Ji Xingxing: ? Why are you so determined that I live?

[The System thought for a moment, then ventured: If you live, perhaps you can see... someone you knew?]

Ji Xingxing: Now that you've said that, I'm listening. So what do I have to do?

[System: Our goal is to bring everyone back onto the right path.]

Ji Xingxing: ? Are you crazy?

-

What character in the world is best at bringing lost boys and girls back to the right path?

Do you think it's a Mary Sue reborn? Or a cherished first love, a beloved dream girl?

None of the above!

There's only one answer: a nagging mom.

The "eldest son," Orochimaru, knows this better than anyone.

Back then, when he was about to defect from the village for his scientific (illegal) research, a woman slapped him right to the ground.

"If a son is not taught, it's his mother's fault. Today, I'll do what must be done and disown my own son."

Orochimaru: ?
