[Naruto] In Konoha, but the Players Only Want to Beat the Game

2025/3/7

"Make a contract with me and become a magical girl!"

One boring afternoon, a mysterious creature that looked like a cat found you on the brink of death and wanted you to make a contract and become a magical girl.

Then you were...

sent to a world full of ninjas...?

"?"

What do ninjas and magical girls have to do with each other? How could they possibly be matched up like this?

Kyubey offered no explanation. It just kept telling you to save the Shinobi World, claiming that you could "cancel the contract" if you stopped the Fourth Shinobi World War from breaking out.

You tried to kill yourself and delete your account, only to discover you couldn't die. If you didn't stop the Fourth Shinobi World War and save the Shinobi World, time would keep rewinding and you'd start over again and again.

With suicide out of the question, you had no choice but to try to save the world. But you found that these ninjas either charged to their deaths shouting about friendship and bonds, or made chuunibyou declarations like, "I'll create a world where there's only xxx," before going off to die.

No matter how you tried to save them, they kept throwing their lives away...

Huh? Do they really think so little of the power of a magical girl's love?

After failing to save them N times, you flew into a rage and gunned down everyone involved in the Fourth Shinobi World War.

If everyone who started the Fourth Shinobi World War is dead, then no one can start a war, right?

But then Kyubey restarted the loop, saying that you had become the one who started the Fourth Shinobi World War.

"..."

After the N+1th restart, you gave up and decided you might as well keep looping forever.

But unexpectedly, after the N+1th restart, it wasn't just you who had become more and more abnormal. The magical creature that had been looping by your side was acting strangely, too. After disappearing for several days, the first thing it said when it returned was:

[Ping! The "Don't underestimate a magical girl's power to change people!" System has bound to you. Activating "Love's" power-to-change-people mode...]

[Magical girl, do your best to change everyone!]

"?"

You: Can I use physical persuasion instead? ^_^

·

Physical persuasion wasn't an option. Every time you tried to swing your wand at those ninjas who refused to listen no matter how you reasoned with them, and insisted on becoming evil or throwing their lives away, something like this would pop up:

[Ninja A wants to give Ninja B their eye and bravely face death. You decide to...]

A: Snatch the eye and shove it back into Ninja A's socket, then angrily demand, "You gave away your Sharingan. What are you going to do with your life now?"

B: Burst into tears and cry, "Am I not the person you love most? Why did you give it to them and not me?"

C: Transform into a magical girl, kiss them, and say, "Pain, pain, go away."

D: You have a better way to change their minds.

This one was manageable, at least. There was a D option you could choose yourself. But once you entered some inexplicable romance route, the choices became:

[Your "power of love" has been a huge success! The ninjas want to confess their love to you. You decide to...]

A: Accept one. You're a one-true-love purist.

B: Accept two, because triangles are the most stable shape.

C: Accept five, because you need your weekends off.

D: Accept them all. Come on, you're a magical girl. What's wrong with accepting them all?

"..."

You wanted to choose E: You want to create a world without people who are obsessed with romance. Kill them all, every last one! ^_^

Notes:

1. Because the heroine has restarted so many times, she's mentally unstable and pretty unhinged. She may act like a saint, a fake saint, or be even more villainous than the villains, and may be kind one moment and cold-hearted the next.

2. I haven't decided whether to write the main story in first or third person. I'll decide based on how it feels while drafting.

3. This will probably be a story full of unrequited love, with love-triangle showdowns. I want to try writing a romance-focused story.
