[Blurb One]
A plane crash, and Bai Zhi transmigrated.
Remembering the melodramatic novel she had been reading just before she transmigrated, Bai Zhi's first thought was that she had followed the crowd and transmigrated into a book, where she would embark on either a wealthy-family romance full of angst or a power-fantasy adventure about leveling up.
Instead, when she opened her eyes, she saw trees that defied the laws of nature, bizarrely shaped fish, and islanders dressed in all sorts of strange outfits...
Bai Zhi: ? Where on earth have I ended up?
Only when a mechanical voice chimed beside her ear, saying, [Welcome to the Hunter World (Strange Edition). Players, please do your best to survive], did Bai Zhi realize she had been handed a survival story set in another world.
[Blurb Two]
[Instance One: "Good Child"]
[Location: Whale Island]
[Mission Description: A good child should be obedient and sensible, and stay by their family's side forever.
Aunt Mito has been troubled lately. Her most well-behaved child, Gon, insists on leaving Whale Island. How can that be allowed? A good child should stay forever with the family who loves them...]
[How to Clear the Mission: Help Gon escape Whale Island]
Your first mission takes place on Whale Island, where the locals are simple and friendly. The NPCs are warm and welcoming, and Aunt Mito, the woman who owns the house where you're staying, is a kind and hospitable older sister who treats you, her guest, with great warmth.
Looking at the strange mission, you think it should be easy to get the reasonable and well-mannered Aunt Mito to let her child pursue his dream, right? What's so hard about that?
That is, until you make the request and see Aunt Mito turn into a "ghost mom" and try to cut off both your legs.
"..."
So it really is a horror survival game. Is this what the "strange edition" means?
[Player, please draw your starting talent]
[Draw successful. Congratulations, player. You have obtained the ability "Rule Alteration"]
[Ability Description: You can extract relevant text from the last book you read before dying. Without changing its general meaning, you can modify the "rules" you find to achieve your goal.]
Before you is the corrupted Aunt Mito, who is planning to cut off your legs. In your hand is the rule you just found: "Aunt Mito likes good children. As long as you promise her you won't leave here, she won't punish you."
And the last book you read was...
Uh.
"Rules of Love: The CEO's Darling Runs Away for the 99th Time, Then Succeeds in Getting a Proposal on the 101st"
"."
If you promise Aunt Mito you won't leave, she really won't punish you. But the mission will fail as a result.
Take one step forward and lose your legs; take one step back and fail the mission, which means death. You grit your teeth and choose to alter the rule.
[Ping! Rule alteration successful]
[Rule Six successfully altered to: Aunt Mito likes good children. As long as you propose to her, she won't punish you.]
The moment the rule took effect, you dropped to one knee and proposed to the NPC.
After successfully clearing your first beginner instance, you gained the ability "Proposing to an NPC has a 99% chance of locking them in place."
You thought you had finally saved your life, but it turned out this was only the beginning.
[Instance Two: "A Loving Family"]
[Mission Location: Zoldyck Family]
[Mission Description: The Zoldyck Family is the most loving family in the world, and as a maid of the Zoldyck Family, you should do your part for this sweet home...]
[Instance Three: The Friendly and Simple Meteor City]
[Instance Four: The Secret of the Kurta Clan]
[Instance Four: The Happy Hunter Exam]
[Instance Five: ...]
You throw yourself into clearing one instance after another, diligently and with great effort.
But the instances are hard, and the strange NPCs are even harder to deal with. To stay alive, you end up proposing to one person after another...
Once you clear the instances, you think you can finally catch your breath, only to discover... Why are all the people you proposed to showing up in the real world? And why are they looking at you like that...
Like you're a heartless woman who sleeps with someone and then refuses to take responsibility.

Reader's Guide:
1. My take on rule-horror and infinite-instance fiction. I've always thought the Hunter world was well suited to a combination like this, so I wanted to give it a try. Slightly spooky.
2. Plot-focused, with one-sided crushes.
3. The story involves a rule-horror-style inner world and an ordinary outer world. Both worlds will feature in the story.
Theme: Live on in the face of death
