Note: Some inspiration comes from COC stat allocation. A score over 90 is already inhuman, and only extremely good or terrible luck will produce one. If Appearance is over 90, you have to make a hidden roll against the other person. Success applies a paralysis buff, while failure reduces Sanity by 1D3.
There are some Lovecraftian elements, but avoiding out-of-character behavior is impossible, and some things will be cut or changed. In other words, it won't be quite as frightening.
When entering the large-scale virtual single-player strategy game Red and Black Ballad, you can draw three cards at random to determine nine stats, then choose one to enter the game. You can choose again only after your character's card is torn up, at which point you draw three more cards. The total points on a card add up to 540.
When I did my triple draw, as someone with terrible luck, after drawing two useless cards, the third card was as follows.
[Yidrea·M (Yide'er·M)
Identity: Detective/undercover agent/FBI/assassin/(Miskatonic University student/investigator)
Appearance: 0 (Nothing to say. Is this what an Ancient One looks like? Maybe you should consider burning your face with a red-hot iron or covering it with a headscarf, because even that would look much better than your current face. Actually, maybe this is your secret weapon? With a face like that, you don't even need a gun.)
Strength: 100 (What a powerful body! You can punch a car flying toward you at 180 miles per hour and send it soaring.)
Constitution: 90 (A house fell on you, but you pushed the rubble off with your bare hands and stood up without a scratch.)
Agility: 90 (You can easily catch bullets with your bare hands. Your body can perform any incredible inhuman movement. Don't worry, you can twist yourself back into place.)
Investigation: 81 (Your investigative skills are quite good. As long as you can gather more than half the clues, you can fill in the rest of the truth.)
Willpower (or SAN): 88 (Amazing, the pinnacle of human willpower. No falsehood can escape your notice, but be careful to protect yourself. You're easy to spot and may inexplicably become the sacrifice in certain rituals. Those you're sacrificed to probably won't care much about your face.)
Intelligence: 90 (Your intelligence is at the peak of humanity. As long as it falls within your knowledge, nothing is beyond your powers of deduction. But be careful: this also makes it easier for you than others to encounter the world's deepest truths and go mad.)
Loyalty: 1 (Pathetically low. You're almost incapable of being loyal to anyone else. No, perhaps you're loyal to yourself?)]
Me: ...
The hand holding my cigarette slowly trembles.jpg.
Strong? It's supposed to be. I traded away my Appearance score of 0 for it.
So, should I use this card or not?
I thought about it and chose to use it.
With my ridiculously awful luck, I'm not going to draw a better card anyway (and I don't have any more draws). Better to try my luck with this one than use those two noob cards!
Theme: Even the strong have their own way of making friends.
