After defeating Voldemort, Harry, the Chosen One, rushed the barely alive Severus Snape to the emergency department.

To avoid retaliation from the Death Eaters' remaining followers, they smuggled the unconscious Snape into a Muggle hospital.

After he was finally out of danger, the doctors on the general ward were stumped by this difficult patient, who had no health insurance, no immediate family, no clear medical history, and a condition that repeatedly worsened. After a round of pass-the-parcel, the passionate young doctor Evelyn Crouch ended up as the physician in charge of this troublesome patient.

Snape opened his eyes, thinking he had already reached hell. Instead, he saw a fluffy golden head and the sunny smile of a petite doctor in a white coat.

“Hello! I'm Evelyn Crouch, your attending physician!”

“No getting out of bed! Lie down, lie down. Moving around without permission could cause a pulmonary embolism!!!”

“Patient, how did you sleep last night? How's your appetite? What did you eat last night? Are you using the bathroom normally? How's your blood pressure? Come on, let's get those legs moving to prevent blood clots!”

Watching Dr. Evelyn make her rounds and change dressings every day, no matter the weather, her fellow patients in the next room couldn't help exclaiming, “What a wonderful doctor!”

But Severus Snape would also like to request discharge today.

[Reader's Guide]:

1. A companion story to Does the Little Magical Puppy Wag Its Tail? It can be read as a parallel-universe story. In this world, the heroine Evelyn is a Muggle.

2. A short, sweet treat. The medical setting is entirely fictional, all made up by me. If you find a mistake, you're definitely right, but I'm still going to write it this way.

3. A kind, warm-hearted, responsible Border Collie doctor + X + a gloomy, numb bat patient who's made peace with everything.

4. Harry, remember to pay your Potions Professor's medical bills. Thank you.
