After Going into Debt, I Raised a Ranpo Cat

[The Strongest Hound of Them All, paired with Tetchou]

Uenashi Miki died.

The good news: he can be revived. The bad news: it costs five hundred billion. The good news: he can borrow it. The bad news: he has to pay it back. The good news: he doesn't have to pay it back himself.

System: All you have to do is become a big shot with influence in both the underworld and the legitimate world, stand on top of the Nanki Detective Agency, and kick the Hokukai Special Division to the curb. I'll pay back the five hundred billion for you.

Uenashi Miki: There's such a good deal?

That night, the phones of the liquor company, the Port Mafia, the three great families, the gravity manipulator, the Six Eyes, the kind Russian, the bandaged weirdo, the top-plus-one assassin, and others each receive an automatic debit notice and an IOU with no deadline for repayment.

As the saying goes, if you owe ten thousand, the lender is your dad; if you owe a million, you're the lender's dad. Get enough lenders, and you can do whatever you want.

"I willingly lent Uenashi Miki the money... But why are you separating me from the Gojo family now?" Wtw stares silently at two IOUs. "Does he know the money came straight out of my account?!"

After an accident, Uenashi Miki takes in a cat. The cat is spoiled and demanding. It has to eat desserts with marble soda for all three meals, pick out the red bean filling in its sweet rice dumpling soup, and have freshly made cat food sprinkled with sugar. It's basically a sugar-coated cat.

"You've gone over your sugar limit for the month, haven't you?" He pries open the cat's three-lobed mouth and frowns at its row of ivory-white little teeth. "Should I take you to a pediatrician... or a veterinary clinic?"

The cat turns into a young man, pins him to the sofa, and bristles. "How many times do I have to tell you? I just have a baby face! I'm not a child! The great detective is older than you! And bigger than you in every way!"

1. Pairing with Ranpo. He turns into a cat from time to time. Ranpo the kitty, hehe. Ranpo is 22, one year older than the protagonist. (This man still looks like a boy at 26.)

2. I want to see Ranpo take the initiative and make a direct confession. He's the great detective who does whatever he wants, after all. I just love watching a distant, cool beauty get thoroughly flustered by someone with an overwhelming social battery.

3. The protagonist is the brains of the operation, a desk worker with no combat ability or power to hurt anyone. He doesn't train physically. That said, I love seeing a pretty boy get injured in battle.

4. My profile has completed stories paired with Tetchou, Dazai, Chuuya, and Boss Dazai, as well as one with no pairing. There's also a story with Tanuki and Akutagawa, and one with Mori and Tetchou that I haven't written yet.
