Fengji Wuwu was a pitiable person.

That's what everyone who knew him said.

After all, staying cooped up in the Special Division was pretty boring.

But he wasn't doing it for love and justice. He simply enjoyed meddling in other people's fates.

Officer Kurosawa had a very strange cat. It was a picky eater, clever, and eccentric. Every month, the money spent taking it to the animal hospital after it got itself into trouble nearly ate up Officer Kurosawa's entire salary. But only Officer Kurosawa knew that it was a demon cat.

When they first met, he was leaning against a wall, on the verge of death after a failed mission. A black cat dropped down from the wall, looking down on him. It transformed into a boy with glazed green eyes, its slender black tail pressing against his blood-soaked wound.

"Give me your soul, and I'll save you."

As if possessed, he nodded.

And so he wound up with a black cat that could turn into a human and go to a cheap clinic, but insisted on going to an animal hospital whenever it got hurt, wasting his salary.

"Dogs are the hardest things in the world to understand: Special Division Dazai."

If there was one thing Dazai hated most, it was the white dog in the backyard. It was stupid and useless, capable only of eating and barking, yet it won everyone's affection more easily than he did. It simply wasn't fair.

So, on the day he ran away from home, Dazai packed his only piece of luggage.

He thought the dog would howl in despair, but instead it turned into a beautiful white-haired woman and slowly pointed into the distance.

"Head toward Yokohama. That's where your destined path begins."

Dazai was a born rebel. He fished a government employee out of the river and joined the Special Division.

Their fates changed, and the story was turned upside down.

But the creature that had set their fates in motion met a miserable end and vanished without a trace.

One day, the System suddenly discovered that the place where it had taken Fengji Wuwu was called the Special Grade One Dangerous Ability User Containment Room.
