The Blind Sister-in-Law

1.

After disaster strikes her family, the blind Jiang Jinyu follows her husband to the capital to seek refuge with his younger brother, Pei Huaixu, who has risen to the post of Grand Secretary.

On the way, her husband dies beneath a bandit's blade while protecting her.

Just as she's about to be violated by the bandits, she gathers her resolve to die and raises her knife to take her own life, but a powerful force knocks it from her hand.

In the cold wind, beneath the dark night thick with the smell of blood,

Pei Huaixu rides up on his steed, arriving in front of Jiang Jinyu. His long-fingered hand covers her cold, trembling one. “Sister-in-law, it's me.”

Jiang Jinyu is blind.

But she recognizes Pei Huaixu's voice, as solemn and deep as ever.

2.

She follows Pei Huaixu back to his residence.

Pei Huaixu summons an imperial physician to treat her eyes. Feeling that she already owes the Pei family too much, she doesn't want to incur another debt, so she plans to leave quietly.

Beneath the dim moonlight,

Pei Huaixu pins Jiang Jinyu beneath him. The man's cool fingertips wipe away the tears on her lashes. “My elder brother is dead. It's only right that I take care of you, Sister-in-law. You have nothing to feel guilty about.”

Jiang Jinyu: ...

Taking care of me is one thing, but how did it come to this?

3.

Pei Huaixu harbors a filthy secret.

He covets his newly-wedded sister-in-law. Her delicate figure is like a nightmare, etched into his heart every moment of every day.

Watching her smile sweetly at his elder brother and spend night after night in his bed, countless times he wanted to break down that door, kill his brother with his own hands, and make Jiang Jinyu his.

And later, that's exactly what he does.

He claims Jiang Jinyu for himself, but she wants to escape him.

Pei Huaixu carries her to a seat beside the table, his hand caressing her belly, an insatiable, possessive desire churning in his eyes.

“Sister-in-law, the Pei family has no heir. I'll leave that important task to you.”

1. The female lead has no other romantic partner; one-on-one romance, happy ending.

2. The male lead has been plotting this for a long time. He's a real scoundrel, and not a perfect character.

3. The female lead wasn't born blind. Her sight will be restored later.
