The Little Widow of the Seventies

Blurb: (A beautiful, self-serving young widow x a handsome, rugged man who's great in bed)

Jiang Nan is transported to the 1970s and becomes a young widow whom everyone in the village bullies. She has an elderly grandmother and a little brother to care for, and no one in the family is able to work. They never know where their next meal will come from, and all three are gaunt with hunger.

Jiang Nan: ...

Things are this bad from the start?

Private businesses are forbidden in this era. To feed her family, Jiang Nan takes a treasured possession left by her late husband to sell on the black market. But just as she arrives, the militia catches her.

Jiang Nan seizes the chance to run and hides in the county repair brigade. She barges into a room and, as luck would have it, finds a naked man taking a bath. In desperation, she dives under the bed and signals to him.

"Big brother, pretend you didn't see me!"

Huo Zheng is a man nearing thirty. He never imagined a woman would take advantage of him one day.

As she leaves, she coolly remarks, without even blushing, "You've got a nice body."

Huo Zheng: ...

He's a repair official from the city, sent to the countryside by his superiors to teach people how to repair farm machinery. In the courtyard of the Lianhua Village brigade headquarters, Huo Zheng has just shown someone how to fix a tractor when he sees two militiamen escorting a downcast woman inside.

A placard hangs around her neck. It reads: Speculation and profiteering.

Huo Zheng recognizes her as the woman who barged into his room that day, and asks the person next to him, "Who is she?"

The person beside him says, "She's the widow from our Lianhua Village. She's no good. Apart from children, she'll flirt with anyone. She's notorious for sleeping around."

At first, Jiang Nan sets her sights on Huo Zheng because he's handsome, has a great body, is good in bed, and has a decent job and money. He can protect her whole family in the impoverished 1970s, when food and clothing are scarce.

Later, whenever Huo 'Beast' Zheng leaves her soul flying two li away after a night of having his fill of her, Jiang Nan regrets it and pounds the bed. Why did she pick this bastard on a whim in the first place?
