I Married the Wrong Big Shot, Then I Lay Flat [The 1970s]

Blurb:

Su Nanxing woke up one day to find herself in the 1970s, right in the middle of the wave of educated youth being sent to the countryside. To keep her daughter from suffering in the countryside, her mother asked around and found her a marriage match.

The man worked at a machine factory. He had regular features, was hardworking, and promised to hand over his wages to his wife after they married. There was just one problem: he was impotent. If she married him, she'd be a widow in all but name.

When her mother was about to refuse, Su Nanxing raised her hand. "I'll marry him!"

He'd hand over his wages, and she wouldn't have to fulfill any marital duties. Having spent half her previous life as an overworked wage slave, Su Nanxing thought she deserved this good life.

On the day of the matchmaking meeting, she saw the man in a white shirt and dark blue trousers. He was tall and handsome, just as the matchmaker had said.

Lu Qifeng cared only about his work. He was marrying Su Nanxing simply to get his family off his back.

Before the wedding, he laid out three conditions for Su Nanxing.

First: No marital relations and no children.

Second: He could hand over his wages, but Su Nanxing was forbidden to ask about anything in his life.

Third: If she wanted a divorce, he would agree at any time.

They were on the same page and readily agreed.

Later...

The terms they'd agreed on were broken after Lu Qifeng got drunk.

Su Nanxing was sleeping soundly when the man slipped under her covers, claiming, "Mom wants a grandchild."

After a whole night of being put through the wringer, Su Nanxing got up the next day, clutching her aching waist. She stared blankly at Lu Qifeng, standing by the bed and fastening his belt.

Wasn't he supposed to be impotent?

Wasn't he supposed to be unable to get it up?

Who started that rumor?! Who?!

Later, a woman in the neighboring residential compound made a huge fuss about getting a divorce, all because her husband was a useless coward who couldn't get it up.

Su Nanxing asked curiously, "What's his name?"

Her mother-in-law replied, "It's the same as my son's name, but spelled differently."

Su Nanxing: ...

Damn it! So she'd married the wrong man from the very beginning!

Divorce! She wanted a divorce!
