A Policewoman's Crime Investigation Cases in the 1980s

“My son didn’t kill anyone! He’s not the murderer!”

The grandaunt of Shan Ying’s good friend would always break down in tears whenever she thought of her eldest son, who had been executed at a young age under the accusation of murder.

As she lay dying, she kept hold of both hands of Shan Ying, a female criminal investigator. Her cloudy eyes were full of tears as she repeated, “Yingying, if only you’d been born thirty years earlier. With your experience solving cases, you would have cleared my son’s name...”

Shan Ying woke from a dream to find she had transmigrated more than thirty years into the past, to 1988. She had become a young policewoman with the same name, and the first case she was assigned was the dismemberment murder committed by her friend’s grandaunt’s son.

Looking at the suspect’s familiar eyes, Shan Ying remembered her friend’s grandaunt’s words and investigated the case in earnest, only to discover layer upon layer of obstruction behind it...

As she solved one case after another, Shan Ying made a name for herself in criminal investigations. Her father, afraid his strong-willed daughter would never get married, insisted on setting her up on a blind date.

And that date turned out to be with her archenemy, the criminal investigation squad leader from another precinct who was always at odds with her and could never stand her...
